Default How Rich are you?

I found this interesting site that put's alot in perspective
Even Though I consider myself "Poor" compaired to people outside America and other industrial nations I do fairly well.

If this does not make you question the current state of the world and the downfalls of Capitalisim you better be giving alot back!

http://www.globalrichlist.com/

My Results

You are in the top 12.83% richest people in the world.
There are 5,230,168,175 people poorer than you.

How do you feel about that? A bit richer we hope. Please consider donating just a small amount to help some of the poorest people in the world. Many of their lives could be improved dramatically or even saved if you donate just one hour's salary (approx $8.33)

Oh, and in case you’re interested you are the 769,831

DID YOU
KNOW...?

The world's 225 richest people now have a combined wealth of $1 trillion. That's equal to the combined annual income of the world's 2.5 billion poorest people

you shouldn't feel guilty anyway...you have earned your salary, you paid your dues.

no one gave you the job, you earned it.

True.

But I think nick was trying to make us feel guilty for being so "rich" since he's a commie.

No i'm not I'm a libertarian.. I've just lived in the south to long and dealt with to many social issues to vote for anyone who ties themselves strongly to religion. I'd rather pay a bit more in taxes and be able to buy beer on Sundays then the alternative.

I guess I'm supposed to feel guilty...but I don't. Looks like most of the world needs a better job. HA HA HA. I have to mow my lawn now....no I don't, I'll contract out. Being part of an economic recovery feels good.

I did send money to that Sally Struthers b!tch. But I saw a great expose' on Comedy Central...I think it was South Park. She's taking all the food and she has really put on some weight. I don't know where she found the room, but she has. So that was the end of that.

That's a better way of "giving back" than government income redistribution programs or handing cash to a homeless guy on the street anyway.

Don't forget to account for your tax burden when you enter your income, it can make a significant difference.

BTW, speaking of taxes, did you know that if you are a breadwinner for a US family of four, you can have an income in the top 10.73% in the world (with 5,355,653,298 people poorer than you), and still get away with paying NO federal income tax without taking ANY special deductions or credits (e.g. charitable giving, home mortgage, medical expenses, EIT, etc.)?

The poor in the US are rich by world standards. It's time to allow the poor in the US to earn back their self respect by paying their fair share of the tax burden.

Someone point me the way to that $68.00/hr. "average" job. And people wonder why with the internet eliminating mid-level executives, and manufacturing hourly wages, along with other factors, companies are locating to the far east.

It's d@mn funny. But don't get moody , you have to tolerate other opinions and lifestyle choices. To shoot someone because of their lifestyle choice or beliefs would be a hate crime and many know very well what happened to Cartman when he committed a hate crime. You don't want to be smuggling cigarettes into prison using your anus as a storage facility do you? No, of course you don't. So put down the gun and pick up your bongos...it's time for kum-bai-ya. YAY!!!

OMG where to start

1) what I said about the gun was more to prove a poin't that the things you put value in I could take away in one second.

2) Hate Crime? welcom to Orwells 1984. most the times you kill someone is it not based on a HATE? what makes my hate for you're lifestyle, sexualty,Race, belifs anyworse then me hateing you for sleeping with my wife for example? dose not surprise me that peopole like you buy into "HATE CRIME" lawz but all that is is what Orwell called "Thought Crimes" there are enough lawz on the books to punish people for killing we don't need to double hit them because there motavation is not PC.

3) "They won't take me alive" I don't have to worry about jail

I suspect they are making their calculations based on a tidy European working week of 35 hours. I can't remember the last time I only worked 35 hours a week. Probably before I got my 6 weeks of paid vacation right?
