Week 1 (Chiefs @ DENVER Sept 12th) - The Orange Mane

The home opener and the debute of the Bus! I know quiet a few of you plan on attending.

If we could get a roll call going that would be helpful.

Every week the Broncos provide a theme for the tailgate. The tailgate that shows the most spirit wins "The Most Valuable Tailgate Award". There is a camera crew that will be cruising around the parking lot before the game. They will be talking to fans and then they will select what they think is the biggest and best party that matches the theme. If selected that tailgate will be on the Jumbo Tron at half-time as the award the MVT trophy. There is a bunch of other stuff that is awarded also. I'll find the link and post it later.

Anyhow the theme for this game is "SMASH THE CHIEFS".

OrangeForceOne will be involved in the smashing of the Chiefs you can be sure of that. lmao But if you guys want to get involved than please do.

If you think of something clever to display that theme do it! The more the tailgate represents that theme the better chance the Omane Tailgate could end up on the Jumbo Tron at halftime!

They do this for every game and it's just a fun way to get all the tailgaters involved together.

This is a night game but the tailgate will begin as soon as the gates open which shoudl be early that morning.

I'll post more info on parking, shuttles, directions etc a little later.

Those chief fans think they know how to smoke a pig? Stay tuned for more info!

Well Meck you know the Mrs and I will be there for this one........and hopefully one or two more depending on our new schedules. We even have 2-3 more peeps coming up to meet us at the stadium......they cannot picture tailgating much less seeing a Bronco Bus complete with all the fixins....this one cant get here fast enough for us!

Ah geez, I almost forgot we've got 20-25 of the Maniax crown that will be there as well......so between what we have coming from there and the Mane we should have a lot of peeps........an MVT award would be really nice!

Another thought, I seen an OrangeMane sign in some of the pics from last season.....maybe we should get someone with some artistic talent out there to do up a nice big sign that can be seen from a ways off......Dont look at me , I cant even draw a stick man

And maybe even later on have a portable banner or even an OrangeMane flag that can be raise above the bus........

meck still working on the ticket to the game but I will come and help throw a celebration in the parking lot for sure. Let me know what we need to bring to "smash the chiefs" you know smoking a pig would be a great way of showing those chiefs fans that we mean business.

I have a pretty good sized smoker and my friend has a full size pig roaster but it's not street legal right now. I'm really under the gun to get this bus outta here. I'll post on here some updates as the day gets closer.

I'm there. One of my old neigbors had a pig roaster on wheels. I'll look him up and give him a call. Although he's a Cowboys fan, the roaster isn't.

I'm going to be there.

Meck hooked me up with the lifeline to the tickets.

My friend (who is from Denver and now lives in Phoenix) is flying to Kansas City on the 8th at 10:45 pm.

Why?
Because we have a conversion van rented that has a DVD player and more importantly a VCR.

At midnight we will depart from Kansas City, and drive to Denver.

Driving will be Chief Fan.
That's right. I am bringing Chief Fan with me.

He will drive as my buddy and I get baked and watch Broncos vs Chiefs games for 9 hours and get blitzed.

We should hit Denver around 10:00 am, and we have an early check in.

Get something to eat, and get our green chile and beer on, and then head to Jackson's hole to watch the Colt's and the Pat's.

Then we'll get drunk for a few days, watch a lot of college football, and ROLL into INVESCO to see the ultimate BRONCO party bus and the ORANGE maner's who are there to commune and party.

I will then serve up to you CHIEF fan who I hope to chain to the front of the bus.

BRONCOS!!!

Although I cannot be there I will definately be there in spirit and watching in HDTV. I just wanted to give you an idea on how to win the contest.

You should build a dummy in a chief uniform an attach it in a splayed out position to the front of you bus. Then have various body parts like arms and legs littered around the bus and attached to the sides, under tires, coming out the back, ect. I think this would be cool, especially with the OrangeForceOne bus. I would love to help, but all I can do is give you the idea. Take it for what it is worth.

Hey Falconer. We actually have something like that in mind. I hope Samuel is doing ok. We'll be downloading tailgating pics thruought the day so even though you are not at the stadium we will do our best to make you feel as if you were with us. Hope you can make it down sometime.

here's another thought for the "smash the chiefs" theme.

how about watermelons painted chiefs colors?

we could set them up on a sturdy table or tree stump, and literally smash them gallagher style.
then we could eat the inside, which is red anyway.

sounds like a good idea for the theme, and provide some food too.

get some video of us taking a sledgehammer to a chiefs painted watermelon and we'd HAVE to win!!

Jake you gotta stick with me. I have that deceptive speed like Meck once had. Canton 1 week, Denver the next, back to the bus, build a tailgate forum while in Tucson along with Orange Force One. See you Sept 12th!!!

If we want to revive Mile High it's not going to happen on it's own.

Sledge built off the bus eh? You know Orange I thought about that. At this point it would be completely absurd to even think about adding an auto sledge to the bus but I'm going to run it by DenverTucsonLink in a minute.......lmfao

We just got slammed with a monsoon and operations have been temporaritly suspended. We have been in need of some cooler weather and it was delivered. Thanks to the power that be...........

she liked it, and we found it at the mall!!

anyway, before we left that day, i went upstairs to change.
when i came back down, she says "who's this meck guy. damn, he's as obsessed with the broncos as you are!"

LMFAO!!

i told her, "THATS the guy we hung out with last year. you'll meet him the 12th."

funny stuff.
we'll see you then, and we'll be decked out in orange as always.
