.....after the Yankess were handed their worst home loss in franchise history tonight by the Cleveland Indians 22-0.
That's right, 22-0. In 101 years of Yankees baseball, never have they been thumped at home like they were tonight. That's just brutal. On top of that, Boston won their 7th straight tonight shaving the Yankees once 10 1/2 game lead down to just 3 1/2 with over a month to go in the season. If the Yankees manage blow that division lead, it will rival the Red Sox famous collapse in 1978 that ended with the unlikely exploits of one Bucky "Bleeping" Dent. You think Ol' George isn't ready to go on a firing spree right about now? I wouldn't want to be one of the first people he sees in the office tomorrow. |

The reason the Yankees aren't doing so well in the past two weeks is because George Steinbrenner injured his right arm. I think it has been diagnosed as a bad sprain. He is unable to sign the players' checks and therefore they aren't playing hard for him. Even Joe Torre was seen on TV asking for his pay check. I'm serious, I saw it on TV

Man, Javier Vazquez is absolutely brutal right now. I wonder if he's one of those guys who's just not cut out for the media glare in New York.
Here's the boxscore. Omar Vizquel had a pretty nice week tonight. Check out Victor Martinez hamming it up as he crosses home plate after his three run homer in the ninth inning. I wouldn't be surprised to see young Victor dusting himself off in the batter's box during his first at bat tomorrow. |

Can we officially pencil in Esteban Loiaza as the worst trade deadline acquisition of the year yet?

well, a team like this......something like this happens, unfortunately it kicks them in the butt and they go on a tear...
which is what I expect now from the Yankees, unfortunately....I hate the Yankees. |

I read that the Yankee's Starters have one decision in the past 17 games.
Go Twins! |

Last night they lost to the freakin' Royals 17-8. gave up 10 runs in 1 innning. this is a team that is well on its way to over 100 losses. the royals have so many players that started the season in AAA that the payroll of KC's entire team is six times less than that of just A-rod and Jeter.
