Any fantasy drafter can tell you stories about the guy who slipped all the way down......to the guy a spot or two before him.
So last night, who was the player or players you were crossing your fingers would drop but just missed out on? For me it was Marc Bulger. With a couple teams before me taking their backup QB in the early rounds, Bulger, Brady and Brooks were the best left. BM13 snatched Bulger, leaving me with a solid if unspectacular Tom Brady. Anyone else have a story to share? |

I could have had Harrison and Manning back to back at 12 and 13 in the RKA league...but I would have been hurting for a RB...so I took D. Davis at 13.
Hey, Don't knock Brady...I have him too! Last edited by Sassy; 08-30-2004 at 10:58 AM.. |

I missed out on the chance to get an oustanding kicker.

I thought I could get Curtis Martin at the end of Round 5, but Bosco took him two spots from home.

believe it was round 5, I noticed that WR Steve Smith was still out there and tried working a trade out with pez(who was picking at the time) to move up a few spots and draft him.
Pez got Santana Moss, then Alec with the next pick(2 picks in front of me) takes Steve Smith. |

Definately, without question it was Marvin Harrison, in the MIDDLE of round 2.
First off, I had the 5th overall pick and had my target on Duece McCallister and was praying he got to me. Little did I know that A Green would slip to me. I scooped up Green and had a big smile on my face. Then, as the second round started, I notice Harrison was still aroound and thought for sure he would go within the first 3 or 4 picks in the second round. Well, as the picks got closer and closer to me, Harrison was still on the board. I was the 20th pick overall in the 2nd round. As luck would have it, Harrison got swept up right in front of me at 19. I thought for sure the guy in front of me would NOT take Harrison since he had taken Randy Moss in the first round. Certainly, he wouldn't pass over a RB after doing so in the first round. I was wrong. I :settled" for Dominic Davis at that pick. I was still happy to land Davis but I would have loved the possibilities of A Green and Harrison. I'll live! |
