To anyone who's heard this and is into garage rock...Whattya think?

The CD came my way recently and it's extremely interesting and hooky..I find myself playing it more and more...it's infectious to say the least.

Good record. Nice rock grooves that you can dance to. I was a bit skeptical when I heard about all the hype from England, as the hype usually doesn't come close to delivering (see The Coral). But I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely love track 4, "Dark of the Matinee."

The Hives new one is great. I love their energy. Not too hot on Jet. What Creed was to grunge, Jet is to classic rock, IMHO.

Wow...Creed? That's pretty harsh....I rather like the Get Born CD actually...it's more solid than the other retro stuff I've heard to date....it's a little too soft in the middle maybe but I'll take it over things like The Darkness anyday of the week.

I think the Bushes grandfather who dealt with the Nazis probably was in on his assasination, and probably made billions off WW I.

Ok, the Creed comparison was a little harsh...Scott Strapp and the girls took the art of sucking to new heigths. I don't know, just seems Jet's classic rock fasination is a little too obvious and a little too watered down for my taste. A band with classic rock leanings that I enjoy is Soundtrack of Our Lives. Their lyrics are a little thin (their Swedish), but they give you some rockin' numbers, a little psychedelia here and there, plus a couple of pretty cool ballads thrown in for good measure.

I've never heard of them.........I'll check it out.

I think what I really like about Jet is the way the first few tracks seem to have been done in one session back to back, warts and all...now, of course I know studio trickery can make it seem like this was the case, but I'll take them at their word at the moment...it makes for some exciting listening, I'll say that much...just check out "Last Chance" and how it goes into the hit "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" that amp buzzes it's way into "Rollover D.J." and so on........it reminds me a bit of the Black Crowes "Southern Harmony And Musical Companion" CD in that respect.
