I missed the point? LA Bronco Fan posts political threads on the political forum. Your little baldheaded friend posts threads about diddling his cat on the football forum.

Too fine a distinction for you to discern apparently.

If you don't like Mocks posts then file a complaint, and since you seem hell bent on complaining anyway it should suit your nature.

It's TJ's board and if he doesn't like how a forum is going its his right to take action, what you or anybody else think of it is insignificant (except for the person who is affected and that isn't you).

Those who have reported Mock's posts have spanned the full range of the political spectrum, Alec.

Whatever Slap, I have seen posts about Dogs plenty of times. And as far as LABF, I got tired of going into the War Thread and seeing a full boat of new threads. If you bothered to get your head out of your butt you would realize alot of times I was reponding, not instigating threads, especially lately when any argument is summarily dismissed or simply ignored. Why go thru the mental masterbaton.

I could go into how Kerry has totally reinvented himself into something that can't even been reckognized, all the way raising taxes to lowering taxes. Everyone likes to hear that they are going to get a golden goose in the backyard, corporations are suddenly going to stop outsourcing and CEO's will be reeled in. Fact is, all these problems existed under Clinton. Promising a "sensitive" war isn't going to get Al Sadr out of his mosque turned terrorist camp.

I've been consistent in my opinions. Alot of the crap in here isn't even readable it's so delusional.

Remember that TJ is running the best Broncos board on the net. He listens to ALL of the members. The Orange Mane has the reputation of intelligent posters. Not a bunch of flamers or young kids like some other boards. We are getting new lurkers to the site everyday the season gets closer. The political forum has been the only problem area. The rest of the site is really cool! Taco is just trying to address his problem area. He's always improving the Mane. That's what keeps me hooked.

Personally, I like the way we can bash each other over here, then run over to the main forum and all gang up together on the Chief & Raider fans.

Are we a rough neighborhoood, or what?

I had a sig earlier in the year that said something like, "Arguing in the political forum is just a way to keep our skills sharpened for dismantilling chief fans."

I'm guessing with football season under way the political discussions will slow down quite a bit. But then I haven't been here a full year yet so I'm probably wrong.

You are.

It's too bitter a subject, it doesn't go away....wait till you see what happens after the election is over....either way it turns out, this place will probably explode.

Most years, you'd probably be right... in past years, most of the Mane's posters have pretty much ignored politics once football discussions heated up. But I don't think it's gonna happen this year... not only is it a presidential election year, but as Hogan said, it's a hotly contested one this time. The country's pretty much polarized, which makes for intense political discussions.

I appreciate that criticism... But speaking from a strictly 'what's good for the board' standpoint, it is never good for one person to dominate the conversation by dropping thread after thread after thread after thread after thread after thread in a small period of time. I wouldn't want to see it on the main board, and it shouldn't happen here.

I'm not saying that LABF isn't welcome to his freedom of expression. But there's a point when that expression becomes burdensome for the health of the forum. I am a moderat(e)-or. I try to keep things moderate so that everybody has equal footing including me. It's no secret that I'm not voting for Bush this year, and thus, I share a lot of the same opinions as LABF. But despite our shared viewpoints, I have to look out for the guys on the other side of the aisle too. And I'm left with a couple of choices: let it escalate and have that side counter the thread-flood tactic with their own thread flood... Or nip it in the bud and show an example of what shouldn't be acceptable in a semi-civil political forum.

The past couple of days since making the warning, people have taken to it, and there has been a nice diversity of topics in the top ten. As a result, my logs show that the traffic in this forum is on the increase.

I'm just trying to steady the ship here...

Hate mail? The guy is a cut and paste who couldn't argue out of a plastic bag. Your the one that loves hate mail Slapholio. Did anyone see the extent that The President protected the DNConventon? Free Speech zones? Listen up. There were not mass demonstrations against the DNC at the convention. Want to guess what happens in a couple weeks?

Of course it would be chickenshiat. Your such a fool your taking a closed Republican Rally as some sort of Nazi suppression. Let me ask you this Batman. You people always love the double edged sword. Was there enough protection? Did the Democrats complain?

That's fine. That's a really neat osterich attititude but I didn't hear any Democrats complaining except some idiots about a closed speech. I guess there were thousands of Born Again Christians being beaten down at the DNC? Why not get a clue. Do you even have a clue that just possibly the Vice President deserves the same security as the DNC?

How far do you think protesters got at the DNC there genius? It would of been shamefull. Any idiot gets his voice. It's similiar to letting the kids watch a DVD and have them go to the small table.

This isn't intended as a complaint, but one of the results of this thread is that rather than just going with the flow of any given discussion, I've been checking the thread author before posting to make sure I'm not bumping one too many LABF threads to the top of the forum.... I'd hate to do that and then feel responsible if he got a "vacation" just because I was opinionated....

I do understand and appreciate what you're trying to do here... and I'm not trying to make waves at all, just giving a tiny bit of feedback.

It seems the time and date stamp on every post (including the first post of every thread) should quell your darkest fears, Flame.

Some of the six LABF threads that were included in the screencap attached to post #1 of this thread were started significantly earlier than the time the screencap was taken... earlier enough to have sparked more than 20 replies. So the time and date stamps would seem to be of little or no significance.

They might seem to, but I bet TJ will look at that before he ever thought of dispatching LABF for a 30 day campaign nap.

Helen Keller could see that LABF is just a spammer for his partisan views. As far as I'm concerned, he is the Mane's version of Rush Limbaugh.... just prattling for the other side of the isle is all.

Anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see that NPR is about as pereceptive as Helen Keller where my 'views' are concerned.

He's just another ostrich who closes his eyes, plugs his ears, and whines "spam, spam spam" when confronted with the facts about his favorite Oil Emperor.

It's not so much what you say, LABF, It's how you say it. I get deaf like HKeller to your shrill, whining tones. Seems like I'm not the only one. Apparently, there have been lots of people crying to TJ about you.

Here's an idea. Why don't you take all that expanse of partisan knowledge and hit the streets with it. Get on the road with Kerry and Heinzy. Do you really like coming here and putting blisters on your fingers and not affecting a single vote?
