Repbulican ex-EPA chief condemns Bush's "polluter protection" policy - The Orange Mane

Republican and former head of the Environmental Protection Agency Russell Train condemned President Bush's environmental record at an event in Concord, NH, and announced he would vote for Democrat John Kerry, the AP reported.

"It's almost as if the motto of the administration in power today in Washington is not environmental protection, but polluter protection," Train, EPA director for Presidents Nixon and Ford, said. "I find this deeply disturbing."

Train joins a chorus of environmental activists and ordinary Americans concerned about clean air, clean water, and other dangers to the environment to condemn President Bush's lax environmental policies, policies designed to help large businesses and campaign donors more than to protect the environment and the health of citizens.
