Any of you going to watch some highschool football games in your area. I always enjoy trying to catch one or two on a friday night. I really enjoy watching good football at that level.

Here in Topeka, high school football is king. I kind of miss watching my alma mater play in Wichita. Then again, the Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders haven't been good enough to even dream of going to the 5A championship game within the last 10 years. It's too bad. They used to be good.

i dunno if any1 here is from Montana, but if ur from good ol' MT and follow football im sure you've heard of the wibaux longhorns
highschool football is football at its finest, specaily small towns, buncha kids growin up together workin for 1 thing, with the whole town expecting one thing, state titles-we got 5 here in wibaux more then any other of the 70 motnana class C teams, last 4 years we've won state, won state, lost in state, lost in semi's, only lost 1 starter last year our QB, and his little brothers throwin the ball this year damn right ill be catchin some high school football games next fall |

It still bugs me to watch high school football...... I still wish I was out there playing too much..... I'm sure I'll get over it when my boy gets old enough.... I've been working with him on fundamentals in the back yard for a few years now....

Absolutely! I live right by a highschool and attend many of the games. I've gotten to know the coaches pretty well and they told me at the end of last season that they would allow me to walk the sidelines and yell at the kids to get them fired up. LMAO That should be alot of fun.

It was said earlier in the thread but it does make me miss playing. I think I am gonna see my old school Blue Springs play Rockhurst. Two of the bigger KC powers. They are USA Today Top 25 year in and year out.
I really enjoy going out to games on a nice Friday night. |

I always go watch my alam mater play, Fairport Skippers, but if they're on the road I like to check the out the big game of the week around here.
Fairport is small, my graduation class was a whole 41 people, so even though I've been out since 2001, I go watch people I know play since we all know each other in this town. |

I haven't been to any HS games since I graduated, but my HS won the State title last year. It's pretty hard to attend when you are so many miles away on campus.

This Fri my kid's school plays a school in Vicksburg where some friends of ours have kids. We have a party every year. I'm taking homemade jalepeno poppers, some beer and wine, and I dunno what else. William, this year's host, likes to cook large quanties of chicken beef and deer.
This is the last year Little Girl Dog is at lower school, and my booster's tickets are only $50. It goes up to $100 or 150 next year. Football season is the only time of year that I have some regrets about not having a son as well as a daughter. |

I keep tabs on my old high school. I dont go to any games except the one vs my old rival Clear Lake (I went to Clear Creek).Texas is serious about high school football. People with no kids in school go to the games.

My High school is a perennnial State Power, but HS football in Indiana is like watching paint dry. Heck unless you watch Purdue, College football in Indiana is like watching paint dry. And yes, this INCLUDES NOTRE DAME until they get a QB to run the WCO.

Too far to travel for my HS Football games (Durango Demons). But thats why Al Gore invented the internet. 6-5 is the usual record. Tough conference with both Junction and Fruita. Montrose is always good. Cortez still sucks.

My alma mater sucks this year, lost 32-7 last Friday. 32-7 doesn't sound like a complete blowout, but factor in that the opponent(Richmond Heights) committed 28 penalties in which 4 of them negated TD's, it looks lopsided.
The scoreboard said 32-7, we should all be happy it wasn't 60-7. |

Mine (Blue Valley) is the defending 5A state champs!
We rallied from 16 down in the championship to beat Topeka South 22-21. Incredible game. |
