If it isn't a missing airplane, could it be the MH series of ESP guitars?

We did the same thing to an Iranian commercial before... Let's not go Russian to judgement before we take a long look in the mirror.

Damn. I had forgotten about that. Yeah, but the Russians also shot down that Korean Air plane, so they're one up.

Wow. That's crazy. When I read it, I thought, "Oh, this is old news." But this is a new one (obviously).

What a crazy country.

We have to close the Bosphoros straight. It's time to show Putin he will gain no advantage and his Navy will get no access to the open ocean from the Black Sea.

So, Russian thugs shoot down a Malaysian airliner full of Europeans and we should declare war on Russia?

Damn! Being the worlds' police force is a biatch.

The Iranian incident is only comparable because a plane got shot down. Iranian gunboats attacked some helicopters and the USS Vincennes went to engage. The followed the gunboats into Iranian waters as the engaged.

Then commercial aircraft along it's normal route got mistaken for an Iranian military plane and was shot down.

But Iran making trouble in the sea while they had commercial traffic above wasn't very smart.

Also the treaty that is in effect on the straights gives Turkey the right to close the straight to military ships. It only says it has to be open for civilian ships. So tell me how that would be an act of war? Turkey has always said the passage of military ships is a favor, not something they have to do. So Rho please tell me how this is not a good move??

Just like when Kennedy tangled with the Russians/Soviets you have to show strength. Having Turkey close the straights to military ships (which is legal under the treaty that covers the straights) is a measured move.

It would be a great move for Obama to get Turkey to do it. It's legal and would deny Obama the strategic reason for wanting Crimea.

Cracks me up that this move to liberals turns into YOU WANT TO GO TO WAR WITH RUSSIA!

Who's the one the itchy trigger finger now. Where in that statement did you read war. Closing one strait is war. But Russian thugs shoot down airplane they get a free pass. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Kiev, Ukraine (CNN) -- International monitors investigating the Malaysia Airlines crash in eastern Ukraine said Friday the team was not given full access to the site and was greeted with hostility by armed men guarding the scene.
"It basically looks like the biggest crime scene in the world right now, guarded by a bunch of guys in uniform with heavy firepower who are quite inhospitable," Michael Bociurkiw, spokesman for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe team, told CNN's Christiane Amanpour.

"The perimeter is not secure whatsoever," he said. "They seemed to have put some tape up where we were standing. But, otherwise, it's very easy for anyone, really, to walk in there and tamper with evidence or debris. So a lot of work needs to be done. A lot of professional work, very very quickly."
Noah Sneider, a freelance journalist who visited the site, told CNN that debris was scattered over about 5 acres on a farm field. He reported seeing some victims still in their airliner seats wearing headphones.
"Especially prominent were headphones and tropical shorts, swimsuits, sandals, things people would take to a beach vacation," Sneider said.

It takes a pretty sophisticated set of weaponry to knock down anything from 30,000 feet.

No it doesn't. It's mobile air defense system and operational control is at the unit level. It is very possible to learn to operate the system in less then two week times.
