Why stop at the Patriots? These people voting lose to the Patriots - you might as well lose to the Chargers in round 2 right? I mean it's all the same?

Getting to the SB has stopped so many questions from being asked - and this team has the confidence that they can make it there. You losers don't have an understanding of what that means.

The fact is that - any "Broncos fan" preferring to lose to the Patriots at home in the playoffs under any circumstance should immediately check why the watch sports.

Honestly - if John Elway/Peyton Manning were given this question...better yet if you said this to them, I'm sure they'd slap the **** out of you losers.

Win or lose - Making the super bowl triumphs not making it, every single time.

He didn't.

He rebuilt the team and won a division, then the next year he couldn't overcome the full effect of the 36 million dollar cap penalty assessed to the franchise for spending done during the uncapped year which the union b****ed about because it was colluding to restrain spending when there was no formal cap and the NFL sent a memo to teams to clamp down on spending anyway.

Now, a judge has ruled the collusion claims were not settled as part of the last CBA and the union can move forward. Dallas and Washington will likely not help the union with providing evidence at this point because it will only cost all the owners money but I suspect Snyder will use it as leverage to prevent his fellow owners from pressuring him to do other things he doesn't seem to want to do (like name changing).

It has nothing to do with a guarantee.

If the choice is lose by 1 in the AFCCG or take your chances in the SB, you could win, you could lose, you could get embarassed, everyone chooses the latter.

That isn't the choice presented.

Voting to lose again one of our biggest rivals ... absolutely sad there are fans who can't see across this. You'd rather lose to the Patriots for the 2nd time in a season and catch all the flak for that and not making the SB? Than losing to the #1?

Why do you even watch sports? I read one of them said they have so much invested... which SHOULD mean you'd want the team to win as many games possible correct?

The more W's in a season/playoffs the better?

It's a loser's mentality - that's the only explanation. Clear as day as to why the Seahawks fans completely took a **** on the Broncos fans during the SB - can't believe we have these passive losers voting to the lose against the Patriots because they're too embarrassed to lose in the SB.

Is that how you'd raise your kid too?

Hey son - if you know you guys are going to lose - just don't play as hard so you don't waste all your energy and you won't feel as bad because you didn't try.

It's ok - as long as you saved the embarrassment.

Losers. I hope this poll taints the users who voted for the 1st option forever - especially when they're in here trying to defend themselves.

One of them is a Shanahan fan though - so it kind of makes sense he has a losers mentality.

I'd have rather been eliminated from playoff contention in week 12 after losing a tremendously exciting nail-biter in triple overtime to some team who also did not make the playoffs.

I wish I was a Raider fan so I would never have to worry about a disappointing playoff loss going forward.

Someone should post a link to this thread at Chiefs Planet and see what a fan base that has not been to the SB of 40 years thinks about this.

At what point does the preferable earlier failure option become less desireable? Would you rather lose in the Division Round than tbe Championship Round?

Would you rather miss the playoff than lose the first game?

Would you rather go 8-8 than narrowly miss the playoffs?

Would you rather tank than have a mediocre season?

Would you rather go 4-12 than 1-15?

Where's that line where disappointment in not as much success become disappointment in too much failure?

It's a loser mentality. That's all there is too it.

This entire board's existence which began in 2001 is pointless. Millions of posts and time wasted. In hindsight, I wish the team moved after 1998.

I mean hey, at least we know at that point what we need to draft right? No reason to delay the process....we would PROBABLY lose anyhow.

I'll one up you. Every once in awhile the Raiders make a run. I would rather be a queef fan so that I never worry about advancing in the playoffs.

The only part of this thread I like is the banter between Shananahan and The Rev.

The thread topic is about as pleasant as Sophie's Choice.

Will the offseason ever end? Ever? Please?

You know if you lose the first 15 games, you can still end the season with a win and be waaaaaaaay better off than losing in the SB.

So there isn't a "you can't win the SB if you don't get there" aspect to this because the hypothetical compels from the very outset that you CANNOT win and in fact will get raped.

To me at least, I would be less aggravated by losing a close AFCCG than getting destroyed on the world stage. JMO.

So you'd rather have Brady fan boys owning the broncos fanbase for years? Manning loses that game and I guarantee we'd not only have patriots fans to deal with for years to come, we'd also have a scared piss in their pants broncos fanbase whenever confronted by the patriots in the future. We already have some broncos who are scared ****less about the patriots every year. An AFC championship game win over manning added to their arsenal? No thanks.

Id take an AFC champ win over pats even if it meant 55-0 in the Super Bowl.

You have it all wrong. In that case, he'd be requesting that we lose to the Chargers so we don't have to lose to Tommy Terrific. It's fun moving the target isn't it?

The implosion of the broncos fanbase as well as the entire football community would have a field day if Manning and Denver went 0-2 in 2 tries.

IMO that SD game was a must win after the way the Ravens loss went.
