Default Supreme Court tells Obama you broke the law! You are a liar!

http://www.cnn.com/2014/06/26/justic...html?hpt=hp_c2

Presidential spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters on Air Force One that the White House was "deeply disappointed" in the decision and said the administration is "still reviewing it."

Another beatdown for our crappy President. Obama has tried to rewrite the rules and the country will now have to use the courts to beat back into line.

Let's be honest, Obama probably knew this is how it would turn out.

Since this had never been litigated before (to my knowledge) it gave him the out of having a good faith argument for his position. In the mean time, he got his guys on the board and kicked Republicans in the teeth in the process. Result? As Forbes pointed out, the current board will likely make the same rulings that ere made by the members impacted by today's ruling.

Once again, Obama took the long view and ultimately got his way.

Pretty much. I'd be rather surprised if President Obama is unhappy with the way his presidency has gone.

Obama has now lost 13 unanimous SCOTUS decisions over the last 2 years, with more to come.

As we've been saying for years. The entire administration is a bunch of lying criminals who continuously break the law, and have no regard for the US Constitution.

Told. Ya. So.

So you want the court to rule Presidents can bypass Congress. You realize a dem won't win every election forever right?

It's important to reign in Presidents right now IMO.

Reagan started it, Bush SR not too bad, Clinton a little more, Bush JR took it further, and now Obama IMO is just as bad or maybe worst then any of them before. At some point the govt needs to pull Presidents back and make them work with Congress more.

They don't care who dies. For them, the ends justify the means. In their twisted world, they actually believe that widespread suffering and death leads to healthcare that's "free" and good for some.

In reality, single-payer oppresses ALL.

The VA isn't single payor, is Nationalized Medicine.

VA is Socialized medicine like Britain. Medicare is single payer.

Both massive failures in need of reform.

Also I might add that neither the VA, Medicare, nor single-payer is sustainable anywhere in the world. The costs rise faster than inflation.

According to your own article:

:Among recent presidents, Ronald Reagan made 240 recess appointments, George H. W. Bush made 77, Bill Clinton made 139, George W. Bush made 171, and Obama has made 32 so far:

So, in other words, Obama is on pace for the lowest total, perhaps the second lowest.

And the entire thing is total bull**** games being played (again, from your own article -- did you actually read it?):

"Since May 2011, Republicans have been relying on a little-known procedure to keep the Senate in session, even when it was not really conducting any business, in order to stop the President from making those recess appointments.

The legal basis comes from a 1993 Department of Justice brief saying the president should act only if the Senate is in official recess more than three days.

So, party leaders have arranged for a single Republican lawmaker to show up every three days and gavel the Senate to order, wait around for about 30 seconds, gavel it to a close, then leave."

it's not just about recess appts. It's about signing statements, executive orders etc that are now being used to legislate instead of passing it through Congress.

It's not good govt.

Also this current issue was one of the biggest rebukes to a President the Supreme Court has had to do since Nixon was in office. Big time slap down. When the Supreme Court has to b**** slap back the President so many times it's a problem.

Executive orders are well within a presidents power be it rep or dem. it's why boners lawsuit will go nowhere. He couldn't even name a single EO that Obama has done in the lawsuit. It's a joke.

The president can still make recess appointments.

It's not about EO's or no EO's. It's about what's in them.

I know I know. I've heard. Presidents have to prioritize for their administration. Immigration can't be enforced the same as before because resources, times are tough, etc etc. Presidents need to farcically amend legislation they just signed a few years earlier because elections are hard or something.

Just don't be surprised when the next President decides that the EPA needs to focus on picking up trash next to our Interstates and not worry so much about the Clean Air act. You kids practically begged for it.

Obama in 2008

Quote:
"The biggest problems that we're facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all. And that's what I intend to reverse when I'm president of the United States of America."
Obama Today

Quote:
The remarks on Friday were especially significant, coming as they did just a day after the Supreme Court ruled that Obama had violated the Constitution by appointing members to the National Labor Relations Board during a three-day congressional recess. In his remarks, the president made clear he is not only unrepentant about his use of executive orders hes prepared to keep moving in the same direction.

Im not going to let gridlock, and inaction, and willful indifference, and greed, threaten the hard work of families like yours, the president told a supportive crowd on the shore of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. We cant afford to wait for Congress right now. Thats why Im going ahead and moving without them wherever I can.
Come on Bamabots, show us how you've got the spirit.

And? It's basically what EPA did during the GWB admin.

dumbasses on your link confusing EOs with recess appointments. Two separate things. Congress does it's job and Obama has no need to do EOs.
