Meanwhile, Nancy Grace screams at another immoral ahole over on her program. Tune in! Get outraged!

(PS: What we will not cover is how the Right Wingers in Congress have accomplished absolutely ZERO of the nation's legislative business in two years.... boring)

Pretty tough when you've got a President even blocking things that a month or two later he does himself (illegally)

There is no "Nation's Business." There is only Politics.

the Senate won't take up anything the repubs pass in the house. They won't vote on it. The house does the same back to the Senate.

Not repubs fault though. This is what happens when your President and Senate leader lie in the election and turn everything into rancor. You didn't expect them to get along did you? Nope.

It is absolutely astounding that these guys can't figure out what the right wing propaganda machine is doing. A new crisis almost every week! Hook, line, and sinker. Every time! Never fails. Never! Somewhere, PT Barnum is nodding his head with a knowing smile on his face.

Guys like TonyR continue to support this criminal regime, even though there is ample evidence that Democrats have used the IRS to attack political opponents.

1. Your first post in a thread talking about the head of the IRS donating to the Democratic party, and you claim it's "propaganda". I'd call that support for criminal behavior.

2. How many times did you vote for Obama?

The point was more the dems on the panel trying to characterize Cockstien as an unbiased public servant who serves both parties. It's a lie he only ever served liberals and is a huge liberal.

He can't be trusted to give the truth when the problem is political between the two parties.

The Congressional Democrats actually support the IRS criminal actions. It's no wonder that their idiot supporters do the same.

If there was any time to disband the IRS, it would be now. A criminally contempt organization bought and paid for by the Democrat party.

Nothing more than union thugs, being supported by taxpayer dollars.

Cool theory. Let's assume, just for the sake of discussion, that you got your wish. What do you replace IRS with?

Disband, and reform, with independent private oversight.

No sane American is comfortable with letting these guys operate 'status quo'. They've shown corruption and criminality to the core. All the way up to, and including, the head of the IRS. Deriding certain politicians for pointing out the IRS violation of the US Constitution is completely irresponsible and counter-productive to the American people.

Canada for one. Every country in the world that has taxation has their "IRS".

This is the same old bull**** Right Wing agenda at work once again. First, you suck the funding out of a government service, like the IRS. Then, when that service can no longer function properly, attack it for its dysfunction. Currently, it is estimated that we lose $300 billion per year in legal tax collection due to the IRS being unable to carry out its functions. Of course, the Right Wing would completely stuff any attempt to increase its funding. This is simply more of the same from the Right. Their long game is to prove that government does not, and cannot function, and should be replaced by corporate rule.

BS! the firm I have worked out has represented people over and over that the IRS is wrongfully going after. They aren't some agency to feel sorry for. If they are so busy then how did they find the time and money to wrongfully target conservative groups.

they still got 10 billion dollars so they aren't underfunded. They are just a typical govt agency. Bloated with too many high paid ****twads like Cockstien getting a check for doing nothing but lying to Congress and being a political hack.

The IRS deserved to have that 300 million slashed from budget.

If that graph was global temps they would say the drop from 2010-2012 just an anomaly.

Since liberals love graphs can't they see that if it continues govt will suck up so much money there will be nothing left for us.

^ That plot follows every other plot of government (taxpayer) spending, including Medicare, Medicaid, etc. They have built in compounding 3% funding increases (which constitutes the "baseline"), paid for by the taxpayers.

Meanwhile, this is what they are doing to the dollar with inflation created by government spending deficits:

It's no wonder taxpayer-subsidized party-hacks like Rohirrim want to keep the gravy train going. American people be damned, as long as Ro gets his.

Gee. I guess that would work if I got anything back from the government, but unfortunately I usually pay.

A troubling new report (PDF) released by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) has revealed that the substantial budget cuts imposed on the IRS meant that it recovered $5 billion less in revenue from enforcement efforts in 2012 compared to 2011. That is, while law abiding citizens and businesses paid the taxes that make up the bulk of our federal revenues, more non-payers, late-payers and under-payers are getting a pass because there arenít enough IRS staffers to follow up with them.
http://www.ctj.org/taxjusticedigest/...p#.U69Ib_ldVHU

Meanwhile, some of those pushing for these cuts view them as somehow a way to fix the IRS after the recent (trumped up) scandal over the process of granting tax exempt status to certain political groups. The reality that these anti-tax conservatives seem to be missing is that that the lack of resources at the agency was one of the main causes of the administrative issues surrounding the scandal, according to the National Taxpayer Advocate (PDF). In other words, cutting the IRS's budget further will almost certainly generate more problems within the agency, not fewer.

In other words, same old Right Wing bull**** scam.

^ You might want to check the exponential curve for IRS funding above. Here I'll post it again, since you refuse to acknowledge it. Looks like they're doing okay to me. As usual, more baloney from the Socialist Regressives.
