Repig debates are looking more and more like the fictitious TV show "Rehabilitation" from "Idiocracy."

Should be plenty of comic fodder to go around.

The smart money says he'll double down on the anti-immigrant chest thumping and try to pull even with Carson in the crazy talk competition.

Hold up your hand if you knew that Lindsay Graham, Pataki, Jindal, Huckabee, Santorum and Kasich were still campaigning.

For Rubio: You missed a third of your Senate votes; will you miss a third of the President's duties? Will you miss a third of the Republican wars? What the Fudge will you do on those days?

For Rump: You're fired!

For Carly: For reals? videos?

For Carson: Got Uppers?

For Jeb: Don't need your kind here.....

All the others: Get off my lawn......

The editorial board of one of Florida's most prominent newspapers has a recommendation for Sen. Marco Rubio: just resign already.

The editorial in the Florida Sun-Sentinel follows an interview the senator did with The Washington Post where he said he was "frustrated" with his chamber. The story also quoted a "longtime friend from Florida" who said "he hates it."

Well, the Sun-Sentinel editorial board has had enough. The Wednesday editorial said that the 2016 presidential candidate "has missed more votes than any other senator this year. His seat is regularly empty for floor votes, committee meetings and intelligence briefings. He says he's MIA from his J-O-B because he finds it frustrating and wants to be president, instead."

How bad is the problem of Republican candidates using fake quotes from historic American heroes?

A couple of journalists actually wrote a letter, pleading with one candidate, “Stop using fake Founding Fathers quotes.”

GOP candidates stumble badly on fake historical quotes

When journalists plead with a candidate, "Stop using fake Founding Fathers quotes," there's a problem.

It's sort of a joke when the moderators ask questions like are you running a comic book campaign? What a travesty the media has become.

Not as bad when candidates can't just answer a simple question.

Wow anyone with half a brain could clearly see the media throws Hilliary and Bernie softballs. You don't see them asking Bernie about when he wrote an essay about women enjoying rape. Or something like Hilliary do you help your husband cover up affairs lol.

Tough questions were asked. Just because HRC & Sanders had substantive answers doesn't mean they were asked softball questions.

It was just another debate filled with petty attacks, worn out rhetoric and many of the same failed recycled ideas Republicans have been pushing for the last 30+ years, and they should be ashamed if they truly consider themselves “deadly serious” candidates.

Have to agree with this assessment. That's how I saw it, too.

Your blindness is self-imposed. Like the article above states, the first question to Clinton was about Benghazi. The first to Bernie was about his 'socialism.' The difference was, they actually answered the questions instead of going of on rants. There's a reason journalists use the phrase "comic books" to characterize these GOP candidates.

Here's the 'substance' I got from last night's debate:

Government is bad. (Which is a shame, as the founders worked so hard on it)
Hillary is more terrifying than Genghis Khan.
Tax cuts and deregulation will pretty much fix anything.
Entitlements (you know, that stuff you paid for) must be cut.
It's the media's fault. Everything (pretty much)
Everybody is out to get us!
And finally: Be very afraid!
