$29 million. Cheating organization. Everyone knows the Broncos cheated the salary cap the only time they won SB's.
Sorry dude, despite what the article claims, they never circumvented the cap. They would have been penalized a hell of a lot more than a 3rd-round pick and almost $1M if they'd done that.

If they'd circumvented the cap, they would have either been over the cap or had extra cap room they weren't entitled to, which has never been alleged.

The $950k figure was what the league claimed the Broncos made in interest by not paying in a timely fashion.

Quote:
"The investigation resulted in the discovery of undisclosed agreements between the club and Broncos players during the same period [1996-1998] pursuant to which various players agreed to defer certain compensation in exchange for a commitment to pay interest on the deferred amounts," Henderson said in the statement. "These agreements were plainly designed to help the club cope with seasonal cash flow problems exacerbated by the Broncos' need to fund front-end expenditures associated with development of the new stadium in Denver."
and

Quote:
This set of violations, the league said, was related both to agreements between the team and "several" unidentified players to defer salary payments with interest and to a 1997 agreement between the club and a former player to not waive the player prior to a certain date. "Both types of agreements raised salary cap accounting issues," the league said.

Only a jackass would think the reason the Broncos won the superbowl is because of a cap issue.

I could fertilize an entire farm with the amount of **** you're full of.

How does an article that says absolutely nothing, except that Boston is mad about being accused of spygate all the time, and that Al Davis is crazy, prove anything? "Al Davis went to his grave believing Denver stole two Super Bowls." Al Davis also went to his grave believing he was God's gift to GM's. Doesn't make it true.

Denver had no competitive advantage gained from the salary cap violation. That's a fact. The article doesn't say how they did. Saying "well then why did you get punished?" doesn't prove competitive advantage, it proves the rules were violated. If a guy smokes weed, it doesn't make him faster or stronger but it will get you suspended.

Interesting fact about the third round pick Denver lost: It was given back to them that same year as a compensatory pick despite the fact that Denver had no free agents leave the year before. They took the pick away to get butt-hurt-for-firing-Shanahan-only-to-see-him-win-two-lombardi's Al Davis to shut up. Of course when they were awarded the compensatory pick for seemingly no good reason, he went ballistic but they ignored him.

Chief fans are hilariously jealous.

He's just another jealous Chief fan. Their team has been garbage. And Denver keeps bringing in free agents and signing them and their own players to cap-friendly contracts. Chief fans would love to have what we have.

Can you imagine if a legend and a stud like Len Dawson took over the Chiefs and managed to put together a team headed by Drew Brees, and then had them in the SB in a couple of years? I hate the Chiefs and even I think that would be awesome.

Now imagine you're a bitter, resentful Chiefs fan who has always had to play second fiddle to the other three franchises over the years. Even the Chargers have made more noise in the last three decades in the post season than you have. No imagine yourself as fat and addicted to Meth and also you're incredibly stupid. You can quickly see how so many of these Chief fans are miserable classless dickheads who wish injury on our team and are just balls of resentment and bitterness.

He's trying to dig up dirt on the broncos to cast a shadow on justin houston holding out, along with one of the worst offseasons I've seen for a team this year.

Yeah no kidding.

"The Chiefs need linemen and receivers very badly!"

Chiefs free agency :

Chiefs draft:
"Just think; In three years these could be starters!"

Basically all they have to look forward to is an older Jamal Charles and Joe Mays.

Ah yes. The Chiefs should be more like the Broncos. Getting blow out in big games and cheating to win the only thing they ever won.

Not yet, but he did just say it is apparently better to go 20 plus years without a playoff win because that way at least you can't blown out in "big games"

Ahh ok. Never mind being on the wrong end of the 2nd largest comeback in NFL history though.

I agree and just don't see him a top 3 WR anymore. I'm saying he is no good anymore. I just don't see 100 catch 1400 yd with 10 plus TD anymore. He has too many absolute dud games anymore especially against Seattle. He does have size and crafty routes will keep him playing awhile. He is great at the jump ball TDs.

A lot of people had dud games against Seattle. The best offense in NFL history had a pretty big dud game against Seattle.

True but in the last 2 years in 4 games he has 100 yds. He has duds against other teams too. He has 7 games with 2 catches or less in the last 2 years. We agree to disagree you think he is a top WR and I think he is a good WR on the downward spiral. Time will tell.
