you're sad right? military advisers, not combat troops.nice try on trying to suggest that he is bypassing congress.

Though there was no separate statement from Speaker John Boehner, an aide said the speaker agreed with McConnell’s sentiment. Pelosi applauded Obama after he “reiterated his assurances that he will not send U.S. troops back into combat in Iraq.”

In addition, an authorization for the use of military force in Iraq, passed by Congress in 2002, is still on the books and could potentially be used as a rationale for the White House acting without additional approval. Before the outburst of violence in Iraq, Obama had called for that authorization to be repealed.

True sign of someone with no foreign affair experience and worse, not interested in trying to learn more. Funny how the liberal media likes to ask republicans books they read, but who has asked this guy what he bothers to read? Does Mr. 57 states read history or does that interfere with the narrative he'd rather go by that says the way the world should be acting, not what is really happening out there. He also surrounds himself with equally incompetence, people who don't know reality either. It's a sad state of affairs and yet there are the Obama loyalists ignoring all that happening as well or resorting to the usual "Bush did it too" routine.

It's a big lie. Obama says a soundbite that he's the US won't join in combat, yet he also says he's going unilaterally prepared to take "targeted, precise military action".

It's Orwellian doublespeak straight out of "1984".

So we aren't going to commit troops, but airstrikes aren't out of the question?

Sounds good to me.

Weren't you saying it was all Bush's fault 2 days ago? Now you support war in Iraq? Which is it?

But airstrikes might kill innocent civilians. Wasn't that such a concern before 2009? I guess it's ok now as long as it's not reported daily like it was in the past. Just a coincidence I'm sure.

Interesting story how this has been in the works for months and how once the fighting is done the baath party will take over the political positions. ISIS will then slowly insert some of their people into political positions over time.

Now comes news that Hillary Clinton and the Socialist Progressives were in fact lying when they said that 'Bush was lying'.

Sunni Extremists in Iraq Occupy Hussein's Chemical Weapons Facility

It turns out that Obama and the Socialists really do support war in Iraq, even though they tried to demonize Bush for doing the same thing. Hypocrites.

The real question, which so far the Obama supporters on this site have failed to answer is:

Do you now support Obama's war in Iraq in 2014, after first supporting it with in 2003, then being against it and blaming it on Bush in 2008, then taking credit for the victory in 2009, then being against it and blaming it on Bush again a couple weeks ago?

They're too busy calling Afghanistan an Obama success too. As well as Syria, Egypt, Libya, and the Ukraine. All victories for Obama.

They literally don't stand for anything.

They only promote more government control, even though there's mountains of current and historical evidence showing that increasing government control harms the human race and leads to the destruction of civilizations.

More cockamamie bull**** from Price. For days he's been posting how Obama had captured the leader of ISIS and then let him go! For shame! For shame!

Here's how wiki has the story:
Al-Baghdadi was captured in 2005 and held at Camp Bucca, a U.S.-controlled detention facility in Iraq, until his transfer to Iraqi control in 2009. The U.S. built a solid case for detention,[12][13] but he was released by the Iraqi government in 2009 under an agreement signed by President George W. Bush the previous year.[14] At the time, he was not regarded as an exceptionally dangerous militant.[14]

Who is calling those countries 'Obama successes' and 'victories for Obama'??

How about stepping up and posting facts instead of repeating what the little voices in your head are telling you?

But they even state that such a coalition cannot hold together. The fundamentalist consider the old Baathists heretics. They might fight a common enemy like the Shiites for a while, but eventually, they'll go after each other.

This is the kind of bull**** that makes the region so much fun.
