Big fan of the first 3, (far from perfect movies) but they had a little something about them that I really enjoyed, to go along with the robot fighting. This one had plenty of fighting, and the special effects were awesome as expected. But the plot just seemed too all over the place, too many constant attempts at humor, and ultimately was the worst of the series, IMO. The ending left it open to go in a very interesting direction for the next movie, but we'll see. All in all, if you liked any of the first 3 then go see it, if you didn't, stay home.

18% at Rotten Tomatoes. Not bad for a Michael Bay movie. lol

It's going to make a lot of money world wide.

I felt pretty similar leaving the theater after this one compared to how I felt after watching that one. To me, the third was easily the best. Don't understand all the hate on that particular movie.

Probably the biggest movie of the year, box office wise.

I would think with Walburgh in this movie it will be much better than the other ones.

Thanks for this thread. I was worried that this movie might be too pretentious or high-brow for my taste (which runs more in line with bloated, inartistic and idiotic garbage), so these reviews are good to see.

The first Transformers was directed by Spielberg, and aside from The Dark Knight, was one of the greatest superhero type movies yet.

I've liked these movies but I will say one thing, the constant non-stop over the top robot fighting throughout the entire movie desensitizes you to it and so therefore, you just feel numb to it after that long and they just don't have the same umph to those scenes. It's like playing with a woman's C_itoris, you can't just rub the thing non-stop for an hour, you'll wear it out and she won't feel a thing. Sounds like from what some of you are saying is this movie is just like the others in this regard.

If you liked any of the first three it's worth a look. The plot is very scatter brained though.

Dinobots were cool. One thing the movie has going for it is it's main villain is easily the best of the franchise.

The question I have to ask is . Who would go to a Transformers movie expecting a good plot? It's about explosions and hot chicks draped over cars and motor cycles .

That's pretty much what I go for, although a decent plot is always a nice and welcome addition. Movies like the Dark Knight trilogy, the newest Captain America and the Avengers were action packed comic book based movies that also had a very well thought out plot. This is why I think the critics are so hard on Bay and the Transformers franchise. This thing will inevitably take in another billion dollars worldwide though, and a fifth one will be made. Hopefully Bay will stick to his word and hand the reigns over to a new director. These movies are a fun spectacle to watch, but a little different take on the fifth installment would probably breathe a little life back into it, especially in the critics eyes. It's clear they do not like Micheal Bay.
