Default Del Rio Fluff article

Del Rio delighted in Denver's defensive additions

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -- Now, this is the kind of defense Jack Del Rio wishes he could have taken into the Super Bowl.

In the 3 1/2 months since Denver's 43-8 shellacking at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, the Broncos have added DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib, T.J. Ward and Bradley Roby, fulfilling general manager John Elway's wishes to inject more toughness into his roster.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/del-rio...0150--nfl.html

I guess Denver had Roby ranked 14th overall on their board. nice get getting him at 31. Now we will see if their evaluation process was correct.

I miss having the threat of someone like Romanowski or Lynch.

Ward can do the Lynch thing, but I miss having a thug that players were truly scared of. Not just a big hitter, but someone that the opposition was afraid he was one false move away from assaulting you on the field.

Be careful the hugs and kisses crowd might get upset.

With the league rules how they are, that sort of player barely exists anymore. There might be a few... but not many

Exactly. Someone who's reputation precedes him. Where opposing teams have to ask, "How are we going to handle this guy?" "Who's willing to risk getting broken?"

They did last year, that's for sure.

Now they just need a little luck on the health side, and go into the playoffs somewhat healthy!

I remember Rev wanted Vickerson off the team when he did this.. As did others.

Vickerson is a tone setter for the defensive line. His presence was truly missed last season.

I don't care how tough you are, missing 7 or 8 starters will kill you. THAT SAID, I love me some 2014 Broncos. I thought we could have won the Superbowl if we were healthy but getting more physical this year is just gonna be the icing on the cake.

If we can stay relatively healthy, we're winning it this year, **** everybody else. I don't care what history says, it's time to write some new history.

Nailed it. DEN has the nasty. THEY WERE INJURED guys!!!
Miller scares everyone and TJ Ward is an extremely physical leader.
Add Ware-Talib-Vickerson-Trevathian-Pot Roast to the rest and DEN is primed to destroy the NFL.

Our OL and DL need the intimidation factor. The rest need the intensity factor. That will intimidate opposing teams.

I'm also voting for Sherman for Madden Cover. May the curse continue.

Hugs and kisses are fine. Just so long as they happen after a guy is carted off the field because a thug in a Broncos uniform knocked the **** out of him.

I loved seeing that. We had had a finesse defense with no balls for so long, that even if it was dirty it was still nice to see some fight on our Defense.

You don't huh. OK, maybe you were talking about the 2 highly illegal chop blocks that the COLT"S laid on Vick in that 1 play. And the ref's flagged Vick 2 or three time in that drive.
