I would hate that WR pick, especially that early.

The others I could live with.

I agree here. Come Thurs-Sat, I'll be as interested as I normally am, but I have to admit all of Goodell's changes in the name of money and reaching the more casual fan (at the expense of the die hard) is really getting tiresome.

The 3 day draft is television theatre. Nothing more. The early May date is stupid and I bet coaches hate this. Teams need at least a little time to get these rookies in camp and, at the very least, get some exposure to the teams play book and scheme. Doesn't late March or early April make more sense? It's ridiculous.

Man, I can't wait for the descriptions of draft prospects on draft day week.

"Fluid hips"

"Tight ass"

"Big butt"

"Strong upper body"

"Bench presses a mack truck"

"Silky smooth"

I've seen some broncos fans having Gaines in the 1st round.

Also, mavens last post combined with that AV = creepy

I like the May date actually. That way there is something happening league wise every month during the off-season. Scouting Combine in Feb. New league year and FA starts in Mar. OTA in Apr. Draft in May. Mini camp in Jun. Training camp in Jul. Preseason in Aug.

Twitter should automatically switch Da into The when sending out a tweet.

I don't know. I think FA started sooner this year as well, and with the draft being later, it seems like a much longer time between the two. I've seen a few people say how they aren't into the draft as much this year, so I'm just speculating as to a possible reason why.

I remember when the draft started on Tuesday morning. I watched the first two picks before school started. I found out during lunch period that the Broncos took Ricky Nattiel.

That's when the NFL had 12 or 15 rounds. I remember some of these obscure picks in 12th-13 + rounds, but hey, Gary Kubiak was an 8th rounder and Mecklenberg was a 12th round pick. There's value there if you get a little lucky.

Tyrone Braxton was another late round pick (12th rd).

I really think had we won our last game, the longer wait for the draft would've been no big deal.

I disagree. Had the Broncos had the balls to at least be competitive, I'd give a ****. As is the wait has been a complete non issue.

Wouldn't have made a difference except we would be waiting to see who we were adding to our championship team.
