I loved Carter coming out but back to back season-ending knee injuries make it pretty unlikely.

But we will see.

The hate Moore gets from Bronco fans is laughable.

There is some wisdom behind selecting Jimmie Ward. He would eliminate the need to select an impact LB, since we could move Ward to LB in Nickel.

They certainly do have some good options if they can think outside the box. 3 good Safeties, instead 2 could be the wave of the future. It certainly makes sense, the way things are headed, and is preferable, especially if you have an impact guy like Ward to step up in the box. Count me in as agreeing that this is a solid option.

The only concern would be stopping the run in Nickel which I think this line-up.would excel at.

I think Ward will be just as good as Cyprien was his rookie year, if not a little better. Probably a more versatile athlete as well. Helps with safety issues down the road, but Ward can play NBC as well.

Of course, select a half-field LB later in the draft, to guard against injury to Trevathan, or one of the Safeties, or to play a more traditional Nickel if necessary. Cover all your bases.

Price -- come up with a list of 5-7 "losers" you don't want us to pick and we can compare notes. You know how big of a melt down guy I am.

I dont like him very much. He goes down on any hit on his legs. Problem is his legs are like 11 feet long so its rather easy to get him there. Too much of a project as a 1st rd wr for me.

I agree, when we could get a guy like brandon coleman later in draft.

I think Quinton still has a good chance to come back , but we will see.

As for people hating Moore, I think that's an overstatement. I simply think there are a lot of people recognize him for the average at best player he is and wish to upgrade.

I wonder if Shazier will be there at 31? I really don't think he is MLB material but I like his speed as a LBer.

I would have no issue with Ward whatsoever.
He can play nickel against some bigger WR's and athletic TE's, he can swing between FS and SS. If Rahim doesn't recover well he can move in as the starter.

I'd be happy with the following at #31:

Mosley, LB
Ealy, DE
Ward, S
Pryor, S
Cooks, WR
Lawrence, DE
Sua-Filo, OG
Jackson, OG
Martin, OC
Joyner, DB

Crichton and Van Noy in a move back. I don't know how keen I am on Fuller or Roby anymore at CB.

I have read online and heard (from a few draftniks on the phone or via online) that we really are high on Joel Bitonio.

I'd love to see them come out with Shazier or Van Noy.

Would also be happy with Verrett or an OL of their choosing.

Intrigued by Ealy too.

i'd love to snag Moncrief, Swanson, Gabe Jackson or Adams in the 2nd if we don't go OL/Offense in the 1st.

Watch out for Weston Richburg at 31

I have a feeling they may take him there if he is available, or maybe even trade back a few picks and snag him in early rd 2

....and the Mane will implode

He is a good player. If we traded back 5-7 spots and landed him, whatever. Not at 31 tho.

I do not think he lasts til #31. Too much speed and attacking potential as a WLB. Probably will go 4-5 picks after Mosley.

I just do not see that unless you plan to cut Manny or Montgomery.
You could move one of them but the idea was to have them fight it out and the loser is the top back up G/C.

I wouldn't mind that move at all. That's only if Shazier, Mosley and all of the 1st rd CB's are gone which is entirely possible.

No reason you can't have Richburg learn the ropes of the NFL for a season and also serve as an outstanding backup to C/G. Hell they did that with Sly last year. Plus you would be gaining a pick somewhere for moving out of the 1st round.

I dont mind Richburg but if the top 5 CB's, and Shazier/Mosely are all gone, Den is in a tough spot.

I think Den would go RT or G if they go OL rather than C, but i could be wrong.

If everyone on Denver's list is gone, hopefully one of the QB's fall and a team like Jacksonville or Minnesota will trade back into the 1st if they don't take a QB with their own 1st.
