Some interesting draft discussion here (1st link below), mostly summarizing what Elway said (2nd link) and what Klis wrote (3rd link).

Pure smoke. Broncos want NE to draft Hageman, not Tuitt IMO. Also, Hageman goes before the Broncos pick it helps push a player down to us.

McShay and Kiper apparently have Denver getting Shazier, WR Martavis Bryant, and CB Phillip Gaines.

He has a feel good story, we seem to love those. He'll be a Bronco and much rage will be had.

I love Hageman, drafted him 20th with the Cardinals.

Not a "need" but he is the 2nd best DT in this draft IMO

Hageman is the most interesting guy to me. Peter Keating mentioned him in last weeks ESPN mag article:

"Watch Minnesota's Ra'Shede Hageman too. Just 11 defensive linemen over 300 pounds in Phillips' database have shown better speed than Hageman did at the combine, and eight of them have gone on to successful NFL careers."

Not a need, but you can never argue with drafting DL talent

King also mocked Tuitt to the Patriots, saying that Hageman has possibility to bust. Which is spot on. I also think this is the most likely scenario, and I don't like it.

I do not really have an issue with Price or his rankings. I disagree with him at times but I can respect his opinion.
Much like with Bmore and a few others.
So Luke Kuechly would be picked outside of the top ten this year? Lets be real here if Mosley ran the combine like Shazier did he would be going in the top 10 and if Shazier had the football instincts of Mosley he would as well.

7 Darqueze Dennard

10 Anthony Barr

14 Aaron Donald
15 Odell Beckham

21 Jimmie Ward
22 Jason Verrett
23 Demarcus Lawrence
24 Kyle Fuller
25 Johnny Manziel
26 Blake Bortles
27 Teddy Bridgewater
28 Joel Bitonio
29 Xavier Su'a-Filo

30 Kony Ealy
31 Dee Ford
32 Bradley Roby
33 Timmy Jernigan

I tried to shove as many players as I could ahead of the QB's. I could live with Bitonio and Su'a-Filo, but the value (in the 1st) isn't great. I don't really want anybody after Su'a Filo. Not much movement, but a little. I mentioned a few days ago, that I hadn't previously thought Gaines was worth a 1st round pick, but now I do. Jernigan dropped to where I had him before, because I don't think he's an impact player. Cooks dropped a little bit too (Tavon Austin factor).

The funny part is, I bet I have Fuller ranked higher on both my lists than you have him on yours (if you have one). After watching him the 1st time, I just didn't want him on the Broncos, but now I've seen some more things that I like. I wouldn't hate the pick at #31. I have a continuous evaluation process. The board has been pretty much set for awhile, but there are certain things I see after watching some players again that can cause significant movement. It's all very normal, so I have no clue what weird method you use, nor do I care.
So a few days ago Gaines wasn't worth a first rounder, and since then he's leap-frogged at least 15 players (assuming you had him at #34 on your list). I'm guessing you watched a highlight video and liked the music it was set to.

Cecil Lammey came out with his final mock today.

Jason Verrett, CB
Chris Borland, LB
Paul Richardson, WR
David Yankey, OG
Isaiah Crowell, RB
Brett Smith, QB
Jonathan Dowling, DB

Can't believe Yankey would be there in the fourth. Don't really like that draft. More of who he likes than we realistically would probably select -- outside Verrett.

I don't watch highlight videos. As I've stated previously, I hadn't considered Gaines a 1st round prospect before, but I had him in the top 40. Start taking a closer look at him and you realize just how good he is in man-coverage and at breaking up passes. I know he has some strength and polish weaknesses, and I probably put him too far up the board. I ranked him higher than a couple other CB's, and I also give more value to CB's than most other positions, hence the jump.

I started comparing him to other CB prospects taken in previous drafts and came to a conclusion that I had him severely undervalued in this draft. I'd probably move Fuller up a bit after watching some more video if him last night too. All part of my process in establishing my Broncos-centric board.

That's weird that he has Borland that high, after all the medical issues that they talked about on footballguys last weekend with Borland.

Nobody said these guys were as well-rounded as Kuechly. That's why they'll probably be drafted a little lower than he was. However they're still some of the best Defensive prospects in this draft, and belong in the upper-tier of LB prospects taken over the past 5 years

In Conference-USA.

Hence the jump over both Kyle Fuller and Jason Verrett?

Love Brett Smith, watch the first 2 minutes, it's all Smith. This Wyo pokes team was not very good, just keep that in mind....

Well, personally I put out tons of mocks, speak regularly about prospects, and partake in the mock draft.

I offered different views on a few of his comments, but he didn't get ragged on by me.

ESPN had a live mock first round draft with various beat writes like an hour ago
Of course whoever handled Denver(Legwold or Burger Bill) traded out of the first

Swapped with Minnesota so they could move up to take Bridgewater I think.

Minny is supposedly working on a trade for Bradford so I wonder if they do not simply ignore QB in the draft and fix the D.
