Believe me, he is not off base with this. The cyclists in the foothills of Lyons/Boulder/Golden/HWY 93 area - etc are just complete a-holes. They ride in huge packs and get a thrill out of pissing off motorists.

Shoot my dad used to live up in Hygeine/Lyons and got so fed up with how they act that he will literally try to put his rear view mirror as close to their elbows as he can when he goes by.

i don't mind the bicyclist IF they are courteous.

1. i know you want your exercise, but please don't do it during rush hour.
2. i know its safer in numbers, but there is no reason to have a pack of 200
3. the open road is your think, i know. but not on a road that the speed limit is 55mph when there are others that are 40mph that you can go on.

I stick to back roads that are marked as bike share routes. There is increased safety in group riding. People that are slowed down for 30 seconds while waiting for a opportunity to pass go ape shiat. It's amazing how ignorant and dangerous drivers are, and I am completely unsurprised by the responses in this thread. If bicyclists are following the law and riding in a safe manner, you shouldn't be upset. If a law abiding cyclist trying to not die on the road makes you mad, it's time to reevaluate who the a-hole is.

i understand increased safety, but not a pack of 200. you know how long it takes them all to go on a green light?

i say no more than 20 at a time. its safer for the cars to pass and makes it easier for the flow of traffic.

There's a difference between riding safely and riding to piss off motorists. Don't act like you don't know people who are cyclists that think that way.

Purposely weaving out into the lane to slow down drivers is a-hole behavior.

Yelling at cars as they pass is a-hole behavior.

There are tons of cyclists like this, who believe that because the "law says to treat cyclists as motorists" that they can behave however they wish.

No they don't . When you have to license your bike then talk to me about owning it as much as I do. If you use it you need to pay for it.

What they need to know is my truck weights about 5000 pounds, they weigh about 225.

I will win every time we fight but yet they still feel the right to pull out in front of me use the roads they don't pay for and blow threw the traffic lights or stop signs.

Get the hell of my roads !

When you have to license your bike then you can say you own just as much as the road as a person that drives a vehicle. Until then they should stay off the roads.

Also, license plate fees are the only thing that pays for roads.

Sure they do and if they want to say there car has just as much right to be on the road as mine I would say OK I agree because they paid the God damned DOT for the license plates and registration of the car so they can pay for the roads they drive on.

It has nothing to do with there bikes.

Well I do have 3 vehicles, 2 trailers, boat, 4 wheelers. I probably pay DOT more taxes than you. Go ahead smash a cyclist or someone on the street walking. You won't have to worry about your tax money paving roads. I just don't understand the outrage people get for cycling.

That it is illegal to kill someone with their car for 30 seconds of inconvenience.

Because 99 percent of them are a-holes and when they do something stupid like pull out in front of you it's still the vehicles fault. They are like cockroaches.

So you agree that you pay for all of those things because you use them on the road. Why do you not pay for your bike.

What about the jerk offs who put motors on these cruiser bikes? Dudes with mullets doing 25mph on a bike weaving around, no license, no turn signals. Even saw one guy that had a replica "harley" bike. I pulled up in my work truck looked over at him and busted out laughing as he "gunned" it from the intersection and it sounded like a weed wacker.

*edit*

I'd like to add little Putin. Little midget dick thinks he can just run over europe again.

Reality is he probably will with Obama in office.
