Default Kevin Costner's new movie "Draft Day' Looks like a steaming pile of SHEET

Going to stay away like the plague from this joke.

I wonder if mCd will find it entertaining and build his post Belly drafts around the moves made in the farce.

Worse than Water World!

Looks awful. Plus it's based on the browns so we already know the end of the story. They pick Tim Couch, blow a bunch of picks and lose their ass on the field.

They need to lose again in the closing moments and end with everyone getting fired. If that doesn't happen then the movie us bull****.

The Seahawks have the #1 pick. The Jets were supposed to have it, but they dropped out 4 days before shooting. The NFL felt like they didn't need any more drama, fictional or otherwise.

I don't know what's classier.... classifying someone as the "fat girl", or having sex with an intoxicated woman.

Lol it's a movie about draft drama starring Kevin Costner. What's not to love! Wtf are you expecting, citizen Kane?

I think Any Given Sunday was a great movie that included some of the business/front office stuff in the NFL.

Draft Day just looks like garbage.

Guess you've never done either? I heard on other threads you got punked so bad you changed your name a few times. It's all making sense now...

First time I've heard anyone say "Any Given Sunday" and "Great" in same sentence. While i kinda enjoyed the movie, i thought it was terrible football wise.

yah, I'm not sure I really want to watch this movie. It looks like it could be good but I just don't see how a draft pick or a particular draft somehow have the same uplifting appeal as say a real sports movie like Moneyball.

The director, Ivan Reitman, also directed both Ghostbusters movies, so this will be off limits for some families.

I thought No Way Out was a pretty good Kevin Costner movie.

I've often wondered that myself. Is it something about the basic nature of the game of baseball that lends itself to more compelling drama? Is it the fact that we had a generation of screenwriters and directors who grew up with a religious reverence towards the game of baseball and thus imbued that into their work?

There have been several good football movies, but I still am waiting for a great one the lives up to the likes of Bull Durham. (Also, 61* is an awesome and underrated movie. I would highly recommend it if you haven't already seen it)

I personally think it's because the violent nature of the NFL creates an environment where it's just loaded with unbelievably unlikeable players.

When it comes to Kevin Costner, give a movie consideration if it is historical or sports related. Any other movie is a pass.
