Having this guy as your QB helps

Yo Chef fan,

Too bad the Chefs weren't able to land their #1 free agent target in Emmanuel Sanders.

Congrats!

Hopefully his addition will help the score be 43-15 next time

I'm pretty happy with the Broncos' FA additions. Ware, Ward, and Talib are solid, and Sanders will ensure the offense doesn't miss a beat. How did you like KC's additions? Did they actually add anyone of note, or just lose a bunch of O-linemen? It's a good thing Alex Smith is mobile - sounds like he'll need to be.

It looks like the Chiefs will be competing with the Raiders for 3rd.

A strong safety, broken CB who plays half the time and old pass rusher on the downward side is gonna make that defense better?

And that's with Von and Harris coming off ACL tears. Hmmm not sold on that.

Denver has won 2 Super Bowls since the chefs last won a playoff game (20 years ageaux). Denver hasn't lost to KC since Teeeeebow was the starter--this despite KC having arguably (heh) the best d since the 2000 Ravens. But yes, the Broncos were blown out in the Super Bowl last year.

Soooo, advantage: Chefs?

Yes, a strong safety which was one of Den's top 3-4 needs.

Talib's injury concerns are real.

Ware is hard to say but we'll see there.

Harris was only 30% torn and said he thinks he'll be ready by Week 1.

Von's wasnt a full tear either.

Those are tough injuries though. I think a big problem with those are trusting your knee again.

can be scary.

Funny how you didn't argue my point about KC regressing.

Keep telling yourself that the Broncos' signings won't make a difference. Assuming of course that we can keep Von away from the good stuff , Ware and Miller will be an absolutely sick pass rushing duo, and with Manning the Broncos will be playing from ahead most of the time. It will be even better than when Dumervil and Miller were paired together. It's DeMarcus freaking Ware, dude, and outside of last year he never missed any games. All you have to do is look at how much Dallas fans were freaking out when he got released and how many playoff teams (KC included??) were after him to see how much football he has left and how much of an impact he can make. Considering that Ware was Von's hero, last year was a lost season for him, and he's entering a contract year...I like their chances.

Talib gives the Broncos a true physical, shutdown corner. We won't need him for the Chef games, that's for sure , but he will no doubt be useful for the teams we play who have legit receivers. That, combined with the Ware acquisition, will make the defense better than last year. Don't forget about all the injured guys who will be coming back too. But my favorite signing was Ward. Safety was the biggest weakness on the team last year, and he instantly upgrades that position and brings a lot of toughness to the defense. Like I said, don't think we'll need that against the Chefs necessarily, but against true contenders like New England, Baltimore, Indy, Cincinnati, and the NFC West, look for these guys to have a big impact.

I am looking forward to seeing Ware pad his sack totals against the Chefs and their MIA O-line, however.

Not sold on what? The Broncos are still worlds better than Chiefs. That's all that really matters as far as you're concerned.

And Seattle/SF are worlds better than the Broncos.

But your SB is beating the Chiefs, so that's good on ya, I guess.

As a Bronco fan I consider the Patriots as our main rivals more so than the Queefs. Have fun competing with Oakland next season!

The Chiefs arent a rival because they cant beat us

It is like saying the Florida Institute of Technology are rivals with Florida State

Their rivals are more along the lines of the Raiders, Browns, and Jaguars

Other teams that have not won a playoff game in a long time

My guess is Joe Ellis and Elway along with Bowlen family member/s and likely Bowlen legal representatives are collectively making the major finical decisions and Elway with coaches input is making the football decisions
