Default 5.3 quake in LA

Was driving on the freeway so I didn't feel it. Hopefully not a harbinger of things to come, but someone from the Geological Survey said could have a bigger one in the next few days.

Felt it. A nice shake. On this way LA the other week, they said they linked it to fracking. So that's nice

Got the juices flowing in South OC. La Habra was epicenter and that is Northeast of Anaheim Stadium and near LA border. Good 10 seconds of rolling. Nothing fell or damaged here but heard water line broke at one of the corners of La Habra. I know bottles fell from display shelves near the epicenter.

Two good ones in a week. I blame Bush.

Thought I felt something in Cabo but that might have been spring breakers partying.

Felt it up in the East Valley but because of location it didn't feel as strong as the one last week.

You were right next door to La Habra. I know stuff fell off display shelves at epicenter.

My Grandparents used to live in La Habra, still have Aunt/Uncle/cousins in Rowland Heights, so I'm sure they felt the shakin.

I live about 60 miles inland from LA. I felt a good shake from here. Anyone know what fault it is? I also live right along the San Andreas Fault.

I was able to feel the ground rolling. The walkway leading up to my door is uneven now.

Aren't earthquakes an everyday thing in L.A. ?

Small ones. This one started over 100 Aftershocks now.

This doesn't bode well for us Nor/Central Cali folks. Earthquakes to the north, and now to the south. Means there's some build up around these parts. Another Loma prieta sized earthquake might be in the works.

Exactly what I was thinking. This fault in the O.C. hasn't had one this size in a very long time.

Now today there was a 4.1 in Rowland Hights, just 9 miles north from my location. Might be time to keep an eye on the San Andreas fault

SoCal, I hope you have some open tabs at some local bars that haven't been paid yet!:

I was sitting in the Hollywood Hawaiian Hotel
I was staring in my empty coffee cup
I was thinking that the gypsy wasn't lyin'
All the salty margaritas in Los Angeles
I'm gonna drink 'em up

And if California slides into the ocean
Like the mystics and statistics say it will
I predict this motel will be standing until I pay my bill

Don't the sun look angry through the trees
Don't the trees look like crucified thieves
Don't you feel like Desperados under the eaves
Heaven help the one who leaves

Still waking up in the mornings with shaking hands
And I'm trying to find a girl who understands me
But except in dreams you're never really free
Don't the sun look angry at me

I was sitting in the Hollywood Hawaiian Hotel
I was listening to the air conditioner hum
It went mmm...
Look away

I love Warren Zevon's music as much as I love Gene.

That would explain the warm feeling traveling down my leg.

I tend to blame everything on male menopause these days.
