Not really.

Montee Ball is much faster in the open field than Knowshon and has already had a longer run in one season than Knowshon had in 4.

There were several plays that Montee was inches away from breaking for huge gains last season. Gotta see how he does in the #1 role.

Montee can excel through the hole, he is more patient and has better vision and better at the goal line.

They are the same type of runner and not likely to bust one off 50+ yards which is what made KM expendable.

Ball has the chance to get better whereas KM has peaked.

Easy choice.

I do wonder if they bring in a Vet a week or 2 after TC just for depth.

How could you? We've seen the top of Knowshon's game last year. We've just seen the rookie season for Ball and guess what, in YPC, he out gained Moreno. So what do you base this statement on?

This is a good thing! Anything to wipe the memory of the worst 18 months of Bronco football from memory is a good thing. mCd actually hit on one dude who is talented and still on the team after 3 full seasons

Didn't McD sign Tony Carter? But, I think he was picked up by NE before going back to the Broncos PS.

Also Chris Clark and Colquitt?

It's crazy how much RB has been devalued in the league.

I'll miss his heart but not his lowly ranked yards after contact and not breaking tackles.

Dom is right RB, especially a featured back, are just not valued in a pass happy friendly refs throwing league. Adrian Petersons are becoming extinct. Ball splitting carries won't get burned out. There's gonna be more pieces to add now though. Drafting or picking up a vet RB.

I like Ball, I liked Moreno. But anyone trying to tell me he is some huge upgrade in talent, especially speed and getting outside is full of it. Montee runs a 4.6 forty? It's exactly the same as Moreno. Knowshon caught the ball way better too. I was just pointing out that if Moreno was a pedestrian runner than Montee is too from what we've seen.

Oh yeah, and I watched all the games last year and Ball was clearly the better runner at the end of it.

Elway drafted Ball to replace Moreno. Anyone who couldn't see that is blind.

It depends on how your league scores but there are so many dumbasses out there that still load up on RB early in FF

Finally! Can we now stop the KM pining? Yes he did somethings adequately such as pass pro and pass catching. But his vision sucked!

Not really even close. The run Ball had to close queefs out in Arrowhead is a perfect example of a play Slowshon doesn't have.

Is this a real response? Not trying to be a smartass, just want to be sure we're all on the same page here...

You are talking about a FF league, and Dom was talking about the real NFL.

I disagree. Montee may never be what Knowshon was catching passes out of the backfield, but Montee's vision is much better than KNowshon's.

Agreed. I think Ball will be capable in this regard by next season, but if he misses any time this will be a glaring hole.
