The greatest thread in the history of the Mane has been deleted, which is a travesty! It was the thread where Slap listed the Mane's ten worst posters. It was just great. The key blowup in the thread cane from Angry Llama. He thought Slap had gone too far in whatever he's said about Llama, so he started insulting Slap's beloved, recently-deceased dog.

There was some funny stuff in that thread!

Popps vs. TJ was the best. Slap vs Llama was pretty good. Slap vs Mock was as well but they actually got along fairly well at the end.

Price vs BMore is the best current rivalry.

Med vs BMore doesn't technically qualify as a rivalry because BMore needs to actually win some head to head battles first before its a real rivalry.

Like I said , MED gets some mad respect here. BMORE vs price is the current Big rivalry on the mane. Like I said, I want us all to get along, but no one can deny the interest here.

Taco John seems like the guy who chimes in when he feels the need, just kinda jumps in when necessary but otherwise runs s*** when he has to. Guess he's kinda the proven warrior, picks and chooses his battles when it seems appropriate these days?

There was also an epic Mock thread "Actual Posters" in which he posted pics of how he envisioned the other OM regulars.

Hands down it was Watermock vs whoever he was against that particular day. Nothing else comes close altho the Popps/TJ battles were fun to watch, too. A bit contrived sometimes though. No such worries with Mr. Closet Vikings Fan With A Cat Obsession.

Funny, I was new to the internet then and thought there were other Mocks around. Boy, was I wrong.

Awesome, that was the kinda stuff I was looking for! Is water mock still with us? Just doesn't post much anymore? That was an entertaining thread to read.

Unfortunately, Mock passed away in 2010 -- sometimes SoCal manages to channel the spirit of Mock in uncannily Mock-esque posts though.

If it's entertainment you're looking for look no further than OM Survivor.

Most of us have had some run ins. There are a couple people currently on this board that I do not respond to. If slap was still around, he'd be one of them.

Slap vs. whoever was the target of the day was the all time best rivalry... Usually vs. Watermock. Mock was great because as unconventional a guy as he was, he had a lot of knowledge about the game. RIP brother...

I love Slap, and still do to this day, despite our falling out. Banning him was one of the hardest things I ever did, though he earned it and I would do it again knowing the consequence was losing the friendship of someone I admired. Being a site admin can be a b*tch, but rules are only rules if they apply to everybody.

I am glad that people liked the battles that Popps and I would get in. They were pretty good. I love the guy and despite our heated arguments, we have way more in common than we don't, so despite our ability to get under eachother's skin, there was also a certain amount of respect that was felt - at least on this end.

The combination of having children and age have limited how "into" an argument I can get these days. I read a lot here, but there's not any passionate arguments to be had. We're all pretty well in general agreement that we are moving in the right direction. That wasn't the case when guys like myself lost faith in Plummer. The last thing that got me passionate to argue about was Josh McDaniels, and frankly, I didn't feel good about being on the right side of that one. I still regret what I said about Pat Bowlen, and that has caused me to really temper my virtual "tongue."

These days, as far as rivalries go, I like to read TheReverend and whoever dares to disagree with him in the least. (lol) Aside from that, what I really enjoy is when rival fans come in and get owned by our top studs. Of course, that comes with a health dose of whining from some of our lesser endowed posters, but it's worth it to read guys like Kaylore come in with a smashing left hook on some know-nothing rival who thinks they know something about football.

I also like to see what actual knowledge up and coming posters have to offer in discussions against some of the entrenched guys around here. Sometimes, some of the newer guys surprise me...

Glad my thread could lead to a post from Taco John himselfi
. I see a lot of hate on here between posters, and I find it interesting to read up on old school rivalries on the mane. This thread is awesome. Old school rivalries front and center. New ones in the making

Me vs everyone else.

Anytime you see me in a debate/disagreement, you'll ALWAYS see the other people/person veer off into unrelated topics...for obvious reasons.

I'm sure you've seen my posts...it's tough for people to stay focused on the topic because I throw so many well-deserved personal insults...and you kinda gotta stay leveled and to be able to process to relevant information but most people aren't really capable of that.

Macgruder vs. common sense. I still recall his assertion that the SEC was better/tougher than the NFL.
