Default Desean Jackson Interest

The Eagles are fielding offers for the disgruntled WR.

Any interest?

Rumor has it he can be had for a 3rd...

He is a head case and off the field distraction. But his production with Manning for 2 years would be pretty great.

Thoughts?

If the Pats make this trade then they are killing thier last year's draft big time.

He counts against the cap for 10 million dollars if traded for. Which of the teams mentioned have 10 million in cap space free?

He would need a restructured deal before signing for the Pats or Niners, both are well under $10m left.

Pats can just cut Wilfork.

Elway could probably just give em a 6th or 7th for him, bring him here, then have him restructure for like, 3 years 10 mil or something. That's the kind of roll my quarterback is on right now.

And the rest of the league does this.

are they? they haven't really aside from Revis loaded up a lot. Revis can be seen as maybe slightly better than Talib, but not so much that suddenly they are a force to be reckoned with on defense. their front 7 is their weak link that still hasn't been addressed and add in Wilfork wanting out of there and it gets worse.

losing less players isn't that big of a deal, because Denver hasn't lost anyone they really wanted back. It is more like we allowed a lot of guys to leave.

unlike the Pats that have addressed the secondary with 2 big signings(1 good and 1 to a surprisingly big contract) Denver has addressed all their glaring holes except for LG and MLB, which will be most likely addressed in house or early in the draft.

the gap between teams has only widened since free agency began.

Revis, Browner, LaFell - re-signing Edelman

That's both a #1 and #2 CB along with their #1 Slot WR and an outside WR with similar measurable to Decker.

I believe they've lost basically no-one of consequence to FA outside of Brandon Spikes.

They still have Wilfork too.

We're losing key (known) players or contributors Decker, DRC, Ayers, Knowshon and Woodyard. Also Beadles, though I never thought he was that good.

It all comes down to the draft for us at this point.

You could say...

Decker, DRC, Ayers, Knowshon, Adams - Woodyard and Beadles.

Sanders, Talib, Ware, Ball, Ward for the first five I suppose.

He would make the Pats scary. Looks like Pats and Broncos could be heading for a showdown.

Make them pay by bringing Wilfork over if they cut him.

Wilfork/Knighton/Ware then you could play a WSL in the middle.
