Default Moore, Wolfe injury discussion (Harris, Clady, Miller too)

So with free agency beginning this Tuesday, I still am unsure of the status of Wolfe and Moore.

They both had weird/scary injuries. I know Wolfe has been cleared, but has he begun a training regiment?

Has Moore been cleared to do anything on that leg yet?

Feel free do discuss the other key injured players, but I don't really mention them because their injuries and the subsequent recovery times are failry well known.

But I think a lot of what is going on with Wolfe and Moore will dictate the FO's offseason strategy.

yeah, then we will have 1 safety and 1 DE unless Wolfe and Moore come back.

Definitely would be upgrades and if Wolfe and Moore come back healthy we'd have good depth

That Moore injury is freaky. I just read about a journalist who banged his arm on his suitcase. A couple days later he had his arm amputated. Compartment syndrome. That's nuts.

I like the idea of Anthony Spencer to fill in for Wolfe if he couldn't go.

If we get all of our guys back from injury it's like an entire draft class. Clady, Vickerson, Wolfe, Von, DRC, and Moore.

We also lost a starting C as well. Amazing to think we had the season we had while losing that many guys for the season or part of the season.

If healthy, it fills a lot of holes on the depth chart.

Agreed.

For the OP I thought they said Wolfe has started working out again and should be ready to go at TC. Not sure about Moore's status but I would love to see them upgrade either FS or SS or both.

Wolfe has been tweeting for weeks about looking forward to starting his training regime tomorrow.

Moore was average before, we are hoping he returns to previous form which is average.

agreed. do we have any info RE: his leg though? because that's the key to having 1 average safety and a handful of backups heading into free agency.

Moore is a decent backup, he's not a good starting safety. I know you can't have all pros at every position but you'd at least like for your starters to be quality starters. I do not feel this way about Moore. Wolfe was decent but he was so young and then the injury we really couldn't get a feel for how good he would have been. Didn't appear he was going to be special but probably a solid depth guy. IMO, we still need starting safety and LDE. I like Jackson to secure the RDE position.

JCM's post is a breath of fresh air. At the same time those injuries allowed for some young players to get some increased snaps. Get ourselves a blue chip FA on defense and another guy and use two picks early on defenders and we good to go. Hopefuly Q Smith and McCray can do some work.

this indeed.

Moore is above average IMO. He might be a better suited SS (as others have said). A solid tackler, and safety who did not give up big plays is above average imo.

Not elite (yet, hey we can hope!!)

Moore apparently "almost 100%", quoting Elway. Also said that he expects Wolfe to be fine.

Harris and Miller coming back healthy will be huge for this team. It sucks that they got hurt so late in the year, but their injuries were relatively minor (as far as ACLs go), with only partial tears and no damage to the meniscus or other ligaments. Will be interesting to see how they progress.

Revis was able to play at a high level coming off his ACL tear, so there's no reason to think that Harris wouldn't be able to replicate that.

No.....not quite 8 months after the knife. I assume you meant "weeks".

And yeah.....notice the atrophy in the right leg. But obviously, that is to be expected.
