Default Wilfork wants released

Here's another guy who you can sign from the Patriots to watch Manning throw picks in the big game.

Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter 1m Vince Wilfork asked Patriots for his release, per @RapSheet. Wilfork made it clear to Patriots in recent weeks he will not restructure deal.

Typical Boston sports fans.

They love their heroes....until they leave for another team. Then they are "bums".

Boston sports fans get soooooo butthurt.

More like the Raiders would go for him. Pot Roast is our big man and all Broncos would be interested in at that spot is a bkup.

Good to see the beast in the middle of the pats defense come to an end.

Nothing to do with being a bum, he's still a good player but he's 33 years old in November and is 300+lbs coming off an Achilles injury and won't restructure and his cap number is $11.6m.

He's just not worth that money now.

This message is hidden because SonsofBelichick is not even worth the time. Broncos board, not a Pats board.

I am glad he is moving on. Sounds like he wants to get paid and would be better in a true 3-4 D.

I am glad kFc doesn't have the money to make a run at him, he would force Poe who struggled vs the run to the bench and upgrade their run D right away plus provide great depth.

At least you have a great corner for 1 yr. Keeping Amendola over Eldleman or Welker is a joke of a move. It's killing the passing game.

Oh god I know DT isn't a huge need for us, but at this point I'd love for us to sign him to a 1 year deal just to troll the **** out of the patriots.

(assuming he gets released)

We do not need a NT. Watch him sign with the Jets or Phins.

I tend to agree. However, Pats fans have a knack for verbally shredding players once they leave.

1st it was, "We need to re-sign Talib".

But once he's gone.....the butthurt sets in, and it's, "He wasn't in the top 50 in CB rankings!! HAHA!!! THE BRONCOS GOT SCREEEEEEWD!!"

Wish he was staying there. It's going to free up $8 mill in cap which they can use to fill out the roster by resigning Julian along with Browner and Woodyard.

Having a 33 year old Wilfork is not better than those three.

Their Dline is their weakest unit....how much did having one of the best corners in history during his prime help Denver with that?

Every move NE has been doing just looks like a scramble to me. Not the chess game it used to be.
