If the Broncos feel that Bell is the future, we were not going to pay Knowshon $3m. So, that's OK...

Can you explain the process of who cancels out who in regards to comp picks?

Incoming players cancel outgoing players via similar contracts first, then lesser contracts and lastly higher contracts.

So in order of annual average $.

Talib $9.5m cancelled out by Decker $7.25m
Ward $5.75m cancelled out by Woodyard $4m
Samders $5m cancelled out by Phillips $3m

We are then left with

DRC $7m
Beadles $6m
Moreno $3m

Using the 2014 aav per pick we're looking at possibly 2 4th rd picks and a 6th rounder.

in 2014 Baltimore lost Ellerbe $7m, C Williams $5.7m and were awarded 4th rd picks for both.

Cincinnati lost Lawson $3m and were awarded a 6th rd pick

The only issue I see is if Denver sign anymore UFA's which would cancel out Moreno or if the net difference in $ per contract when cancelling out means they combine the losses to 2 picks and not 3.

The secondary next year will be SS Ward FS Moore CB1 Talib CB2 Harris/?
Hopefully Moore can come back from his freak injury. He's not spectacular but he can do an adequate job. Ihenacho was below average, showed good signs at times but seemed lost or blind at others.

We could easily have some defenses with Ihenacho - TJ Ward - Rahim Moore all on the same field.

NEXT SEASON we will most likely have some comp picks.

It's always the following season that they are awarded.

He's a little green, but he showed flashes that he can be good.
I wasn't expecting him to come out of the box and be a Ronnie Lott or a Steve Atwater. We shall see what kind of game he can bring this year with a little bit more experience and the benefit of another OTA and full TC

Oh, so we'll get these picks maybe next year. That sucks because this years draft is so deep. I don't know about how next years draft will look, hopefully we'll find some gems.

He's another in the box safety. I assume it's Rahim's job to lose.

Duke is Ward's back up and he should learn a lot from him. Him as a super sub is awesome.
