Mitchell is a horrible tackler. Pass.

After updating my spreadsheet I included the tenders and released Kuper and Dreeseen and I have us ~ 32.933 million under the cap. This estimate also includes rookie allocations for seven picks based off pick slotting #'s from last year. That may be a little generous.

That wouldn't be too far off, people think draft classes cost over $5m in most cases but when you use the rule of 51 which teams do until final cutdowns you basically subtract the 52nd highest capped player on your roster against the draft pick cost. In Denver's case right now that's about a $495k cap hit so in effect our draft class will only count for about $1.5m - $2m or so against the rule of 51 cap.

Approx 2014 rookie cap hits

Pick 31 $1,264,096.00
Pick 63 $631,802.00
Pick 95 $550,300.00
Pick 127 $517,875.00
Pick 159 $460,700.00
Pick 191 $442,750.00
Pick 223 $431,628.00

Those will lower slightly with comp picks. The only picks that affect the rule of 51 cap are the first 4 picks.

Cardinals offered Dansby a 2 year deal worth $12mil with 10 guaranteed. I'd like to see the broncos put in a higher offer. I think it'd be worth it.

Just gauging general opinion here but would you as a fan have a problem if the Broncos signed Ritchie Incognito this offseason The guys a grade A c@nt but does the talent come anywhere near to outweighing his issues down the years Personally I think the guy is a far better guard than Beadles but then again is he worth signing because of the current media circus that comes with him and the seemingly consistent behavioural problems.

Incognito checked into a psychiatric hospital last week. The guy has serious issues. Anyone think a guy like that would be good for the locker room?

Absolutely not. Guards are one of the easier positions to draft. The baggage isn't worth it. I've seen enough Dale Carters and IHOPs. I like the higher character locker room they are at least striving for.

No way. Like throwing a grenade in the locker room.

Anyway, tomorrow the fun begins!

First 10 free agents to sign
When free agency opens there will be some quick signing as usual. Agents and clubs have already talked and I would think some deals are already done. Ten guys I think will go quickly when Tuesday rolls around, in no particular order: Jairus Byrd, Linval Joseph, Arthur Jones, Eugene Monroe, Eric Decker, Michael Johnson, Alterraun Verner, Jared Veldheer, Brandon Albert and Michael Bennett.

The NFL is turning into the NBA with teams going into full dumbass mode and giving career backups (Grifin) averaging less than a handful of sacks $8+ mil a year with $20 mil guaranteed, and DB's who can't stay healthy (Shields) $10+ mil per year in a year when the DB pool is very deep.

Special thanks to dumb ass front offices setting the market crazy high with genius moves like this. Enjoy your 5 sacks and half a healthy season you clowns. Slow clap for Minnesota and the AssPackers.

Idiocy.
