The way this FA is shaping up, I expect John to trade up in the first round. Mosely?

Harris is a young guy we have home grown, he is only in his 4th year. He may never be a Champ or Revis type player but he would be the #1 CB on a lot of teams.

We will need to lock him up next year. Thank god that the Cap went up this year and will go up next year.

Getting Talib makes losing Champ hurt a lot less.

ok, it looks like you are blaming Harris for the fact that Denver played with backup-level safety play all year and a subpar pass rush while also rolling out Webster/Carter/Jammer in nickle situations. And using a generic team defense stat as evidence.

We'll go ahead and agree to disagree on this one.

Harris was awesome this year. Some are sent into full blown panic spins when the team makes moves.

hidden upside of Ware over Allen: Von Miller is a big Ware fan. maybe Ware can help Miller not be an idiot?

We can afford to rotate Ware in and out, JDR and Fox like to play everyone, look at the rotations they have had during Fox's tenure.

Get the better talent and use him when you need him.

Allen just seems to be looking for one last payday or to get attention and wined and dined rather than make a move right away. Go for a guy who wants to win.

Either would be nice but I think Ware would be the better fit we have the guys behind him to make the tackles, get a guy who can get after QB's, move pockets and chase down these run 1st QB's like Kap, Wilson, Alice Smith.

The raiders meanwhile continue to sign crappy olinemen........Raiders agreed to terms with RT Austin Howard, formerly of the Jets.
Howard, 27, spent the last two seasons starting at right tackle in New York. In 2013, he graded out 47th among 76 qualifiers in Pro Football Focus' tackle ratings. (New bookend Rodger Saffold came in 18th among 81 guards, though he will play left tackle in Oakland.) Howard is a 6-foot-7, 333-pound power blocker, though he struggled in the run game last season. Either way, it's a solid pickup for GM Reggie McKenzie at the end of free agency's first day.

O.k. I don't hate Harris...I think he's a good db...just don't him starting. I'm glad many of you think differently. I hope he steps up as a fulltime starter...we'll see.

I would love to see us trade up and get some impact talent rather than sit back at 31 and hope to find a dude they can develop.

He is and has been our starting #2 CB he will get more action with Talib on the other side but he will also have Ward behind him, even getting Moore back will help, the safeties we started last year were bad especially after Moore went down.

BPA Depth across the board. This could be a foundation type draft that sets us up for years if John hits on the right guys.

Getting Ware or Allen would effectively replace Dumervil.

If there's anybody better than Dumervil, it's one of those two guys. What an amazing signing that would be.

If they can get Ware or Allan on a 2yr deal...that would be perfect.

What's up with Tuck...did the Giants resign him?

Justin Gilbert wouldn't surprise me as a target either.

Would be surprised if we didn't get Ware now. John has proved he wants to win it all today, would be hard for anyone who wanted to be the last key piece of a SB puzzle to walk away after today.

Only thing we ain't going to be able to replace in FA is 2WR.

Deepest WR draft in years. Elway winning.

I agree on the short-term deal. I think Tuck is close to being done. And I think the league realizes that.

If Decker leaves, Marquise Lee wouldn't be too bad.

I'd be surprised if we signed NO one.

I wonder what kind of action Kenny Britt is getting. I'd love a low 1 year show me

I think Elway pulling the trigger on the Talib deal means that he knows he already has Ware in the bag. IMHO
