I'm a fan. Compare his stats to Revis...not too shabby.

Does Manning restructure to free up a couple of extra bucks?

Think he took it like half of us did and has Fox on a tight leash ever since. Elway is well pissed off and yet again has aced day one of FA. More to do though.

Need a MLB, a Rush End, and spot players. I hope we bring in another Vet CB to compete with Harris. I'm not a huge Harris fan...he's always chasing guys around the field...tackles them 20yds down the field and gets up smiling.

I wonder if that's what's happening. Ware is still coming to town.

“@VicLombardi: And yes, they're still confident about signing Ware. Both Ware and Allen want to play for the Broncos.”

“@MikeKlis: Broncos' offer to Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has been pulled. He's gone. Aqib Talib much stronger.”

Revis reportedly very interested in going to NE however and Allen is also interested in Seattle. Both those moves come off and Ware or not, we're pretty much in the same spot in relation to the rest of the field.

Are you confusing Harris with Bolden, Carter or Jammer?

seriously, Harris was probably the best all-around CB on the team last year. The only worry with him is the return from the ACL.

No, I'm saying "Harris" is over rated. Good/Very good nickel...but not a guy I want on the outside fulltime!

DRC was the best corner. Harris played o.k.....but our secondary was toast. Go look at the stats. He was toast on the outside.

It was a minor injury.

If Ware comes in, our pass rush is an entirely different animal. The secondary will benefit from that.

Harris held his own on the perimeter last season, he actually looked like crap playing slot vs the pats in foxburough out of all the games I remember.

I don't think the ACL is that big of a worry. It was only something like 30% torn. He was already walking around during the Super Bowl. I'm not worried about his return from injury at all.

which stats? I watched every game and Harris was fantastic in coverage and had to correct DRC when DRC was out of position.

I'd be interested to see whatever stats are telling me that my eyes were lying about Harris' skills in diagnosing a play, his ability in man coverage, and ability to change direction on a dime and make a tackle immediately after the catch is made. I pay very close attention to CB play in particular and can tell you that you are wrong about Harris' ability to play the outside. In addition to that, Harris plays the slot at an elite level and is one of the better open-field tacklers on the team. DRC is a good cover CB who played out of position at times, wasn't nearly as physical as Harris despite his size advantage and doesn't play the slot. At all. Harris is fine on the outside and if he's healthy you can bet he'll play opposite Talib next fall.

If we want to look at stats, though, please tell me how many CBs have locked up on Anquan Boldin and held him catchless for a complete game in which Boldin played. I believe the answer is 1. Harris. And Harris had a pick 6 that game as well.

yeah, I saw he's on pace to be back for camp. My point in that post was that there is no issue with his play inside or outside.

Go get Jared Allen!! I like Ware and would love him, but Allen is a grinder and stays on the field. Either way we can't go wrong but Jared would be my number one option

DRC was one of the best...but that secondary was torched. I agree that our pass rush was not where it needed to be...not just sacks...but pressures. But that wasn't the whole story...Harris was toast.
