I'd like to think of Denver more like Hotel California.

Smith is the guy I am hoping we have interest in. Three down player at the position we've failed to address since AW. If we could land him, that would free us up to go BPA for the entire draft. Maybe even move up to get an impact rookie since there won't be many spots open on the roster. The window is closing in this PM experiment. My guess is if they don't make it back to the SB this year, they start the Osweiler era in 2015.

I'd rather get Thurmond. We already tried the sign the less talented brother of a key defensive player game and it didn't work out.

If we could afford to sign Cromartie for depth, I think it's a good idea. I also like the idea of bringing Browner in at a major discount.

I'd love to see us make some moves up in the draft. stockpiling picks for larger draft classes works when there are a lot of holes to fill and you're rebuilding. this team isn't rebuilding though. we are loading up an arsenal to complete our unfinished business.

Yes $26M for FA.

About $31.5M total (but $4.5M is for draft picks).

I'd be down with Smith. I just realized I somehow quoted the wrong post to respond to.

are we still working on DRC or does this mean he overplayed his hand and Denver passed on him?

“@ProFootballTalk: Donald Brown's deal with Chargers is Gerhart-esque -- three years, $10.5 million, $4 million guaranteed, per source.”

Talib is a Pro Bowl CB. I think he stays at LCB. Guess they couldn't get the deal done with DRC. Oh well.

Broncos have about $16M left in FA for at least 6 players.
