A rookie center for Manning in possibly his last shot at a second title?

He seemed fine with Ramirez.

Richburg? I just like keeping Franklin at tackle.

A rookie center? So I can expect to see this again in next years Super Bowl?

And how often is a RT going to face a speed rusher, since those guys usually play RDE, lining up over the LT?

Honestly, I worry if Clark is physical enough to be the mauler type a RT normally is. Painter seems like he might get a shot at RT.....

Often enough. Franklin is good in pretty much every area, but he has a glaring weakness against speed rushers. It is what it is. I think he has the potential to be an All Pro guard for what it's worth.

Schlereth just said on sports center that the plan all along was to let Beadles walk, move Clark to rt, and move Franklin to rg. Whether he is reliable on this I'm not sure.

I agree with this. Bring back Clady and leave Franklin at RT. Move Clark inside and add a quality C and another guard through the draft.

This doesn't make sense to me. Clark has demonstrated that he's as good as, if not better than Franklin as an edge blocker, and Franklin is the more powerful, physical blocker. Why would you want to put the Clark at guard rather than Franklin? Franklin actually played guard at an extremely high level in college by the way.

Von Miller? He's the exception not the rule, but still...

Orlando had tons of problems with Avril in the Super Bowl too. I'm all for moving him to guard. Makes our run game more dominant, and improves our pass protection with Clark at RT who I believe is quicker than Franklin. He's not a mauler like Orlando, but a road grader at guard is a better for the run game than a road grader at tackle in my opinion.

I don't know why you guys just assume Franklin would be fine moving to guard. He's going to be a free agent soon--you don't think his agent is well aware of the price difference between guards and tackles?

RT and OG are pretty much on the same exact pay scale.

Well there's some talk about broncos thinking of moving Ramirez back to his position as ONE possibility. Which makes my theory above half right. Just not sure how they will achieve a center. FA?

Sweet Tony.

Guess we can continue in thinking more defense FA might be coming in. Daryl Smith would be the cherry on top of a crazy FA.
