Well, there's some factors that could make our defense better even with what we have, healthy or not.
I believe we need to take our defense up a notch or two, no question.
Hopefully we can get some help in the draft and FA.

But going back to the factors I mentioned, we need a powerfull running game.
That's got to be our priority and if we do that, that will help the defense comes game time on Sundays.
Seattle neutralized our passing game in the SB, and that's all she wrote, we were instantly doomed, we ran the ball for 27 yards, and that's not going to cut it...
In Elways 1st SB loss against the Giants, (1986) he was the leading rusher with 27 yds
In 1987 SB loss against the Redskins we ran for 100yds, Elway had 32 of those 100yds (4 ball carriers combined for those yards)

In 1989 SB loss against SF we ran the ball for 69yds, Elway had 8 of them (3 ball carriers)

In 1997 SB win against GB we ran the ball for 179yds 4 rushing TD Terrell Davis ran for 157yds)
In 1998 SB win against Atl we ran the ball for 123yds. 102 by Terrell Davis and 3 rushing TDs

So, you could argue that both the 1997 and 1998 Broncos team remain the best team in franchise history and one of the best in league history

Love it, now extend Fox and draft like some serious badasses.

That move doesn't sound half shabby.

Would someone tell him to stop vacating the middle of the field and leaving it wide open so we don't get burnt so much

This is a good lock. Continuation on defense.

JDR had limited talent to work with as the injuries piled up.

Played the Patriots well with Mike Adams and Ihenacho starting at safety...and this Harris went down...

Give JDR some talent and I'm sure he can make great things happen.

Let's not act like the top defenses in the league don't have elite athletes.
