Despite the claim by certain posters, well poster, he is not overrated and a great CB. Denver will exploit the other matchups not the matchup with Sherman.

Perhaps, but then again maybe the Broncos make him put up or shut up and play aggressive too......I'm thinking Welker will give them fits, as will Julius.

I wonder which WR he will call out? DT is pretty quiet guy but our best WR. Decker has a lot more ammo for him to use with his off the field activities.

Sherman will assuredly run his mouth about how great he is....

I agree...if we can run the ball, it will make the Broncos lives easier but nothing is guaranteed. We'll also need to protect the ball.

in games where they allowed 100 yards or more rushing -

134 yards rushing to Panthers in a 12-7 win with 2 TO's
100 yards rushing to 49ers in a 29-3 win with 5 TO's
151 yards rushing to Texans in a 23-20 OT win with 3 TO's
109 yards rushing to Colts in a 34-28 loss with 2 TO's
200 yards rushing to Rams in a 14-9 win with 2 TO's
205 yards rushing to Bucs in a 27-24 OT win with 0 TO's
142 yards rushing to Vikings in a 41-20 win with 4 TO's
163 yards rushing to 49ers in a 19-17 loss with 1 TO
139 yards rushing to Cardinals in a 17-10 loss with 4 TO's
108 yards rushing to the Saints in a 23-15 divisional playoff win with 1 TO
161 yards rushing to 49ers in a 23-17 NFCCG win with 3 TO's

They were able to generate 27 turnovers while giving up the ball only 13 times. Looks like the key is running for 100 or more yards and winning the turnover battle.

Seattle wins off of turnovers. Without them they are an 8-8 team. Meanwhile we have dominated people while basically breaking even in the turnover department. If we protect the ball, they have virtually no chance. Nothing is more key for us in this game. Also we do not need to win the turnover battle. We merely need to keep it even.

We already do that. The Broncos are a very physical team. No one talks about it but they are.

I think you're onto something....Gase and Manning will be looking to put our Wr's in favorable matchups and take Sherman (self-proclaimed best ever) out of the game.

Hit DT in the seam and crossing routes and he will roast Sherman. Manning will have to be on target as usual. Their safeties cheat up a lot like NE's did yesterday.

I'd like to see some go routes for DT as well. Sherman doesn't have the speed to keep up with DT. Even if he can tie him up a bit off the line DT will blow past him pretty quick and deep passes aren't susceptible to timing disruption the way short passes are. Even if they aren't immediately successful it will force the Seahawks to adjust their coverages and help open up the short passing game.

I wonder how many turnovers came at home vs away. Away they are an average team that scores half as much as at home

San Fran was the team that scared me because home or away they looked like the same team

Problem with the long passes is they will have to come off of play action - the Seahawk pass rush will be on Manning quickly - much quicker than we have seen in the previous 2 games. If DT get's matched up with Sherman, it will be a good battle for sure. I have enjoyed the playcalling the past 2 weeks and although we have struggled to get 7 instead of 3, it has been amazingly productive with just 1 punt in over 8 quarters of play (ie, if it doesn't work out for DT, watch the other side of the field).

I'm less worried about Seattle than I was about SD and NE.

This Seachickens team reminds me of the '98 Atlanta Falcons: Young, cocky, overconfident and liable to wilt under the bright lights on the game's biggest stage.

The Hawks don't sit around, waiting (...hoping...) that a turnover will occur, and that the ball will magically roll over to one of its defenders standing by idly on the sidelines.

They go out there and CREATE turnovers like no one's buisiness. They had 2 INT's and 1 forced fumble against SF in the Conference Game.

People are saying "Dominant against who?" and the likes...really? They faced Brees twice and Andrew Luck. Two elite QBs at least, and there's a couple other very good ones on the list too in Kap and Eli (though Eli this season has been piss poor in fairness)

They did lose to Luck on the road as well as Kap so you could say they've been beaten by the two good QBs they played on the road (though that depends on where you class Eli these days) but that's cherry picking in the extreme really, too small a sample size.

if the broncos dont take the seahawks lightly and treat them like the no 1 nfc champions then they should be able to win by 7 in the 4th quarter

Hey Armchair, who on Seattle will guard Welker and JT? I have no clue, don't know anything about the Seahawks.
