This has been a LONG road. I was just texting with my son overseas serving us in the USAF (he is 22) that the last time we watched the Broncos together in the SuperBowl he was 7. I remember that day very clearly :-). Great memories. I was hoping he could take some leave to come home to watch with me (probably cannot though).

Regarding the Mane...this place is pure comedy gold after draft day and losses. I find it hard to laugh out loud at things I read but this place is so great that belly laughs are common!

I know I have contributed with very outspoken and maybe unpopular opinions when Shanny or McD would screw up. I have been wrong as well at times when a player I didn't like or thought sucked would step in and contribute (Manny Ramirez is the most recent example). I had to take a break from here after too many ad hominem attacks and dealing with some of the truly obnoxious "homers" that couldn't see the reality of our mediocrity and appeared to be content with that (I wasn't). I have certainly lurked here and there more than posted as you can see from my post count.

Was happy to be back for good portions of this year and look forward to another great year next year here with true knowledgeable Bronco Fans, for the most part, along with the ridiculous trolls like Bob, KCDud and Chowdah. The coming years as well should be very challenging as we replace PMFM but Elway has proven to be a solid GM and I can't wait to see how everything plays out!

I also wonder if good ole' Watermock is somehow enjoying this moment from above (speaking of old timers on this board).

LONG LIVE THE 'MANE!

If you remember when KC had a multiple TD lead on Denver and then Hank Stram started calling for onside kicks, just for practice, you have probably learned to fear the word "proctologist."
I remember my dad throwing a fit because Elway sucked. Boy did he have to eat crow on that. I remember him saying he may turn out to be the worst trade in NFL history. I have been a fan longer but that is when I started really getting into it. I think I was about 8.

Congrads, may marks mine.

When I first became a full-time Bronco fan, dinosaurs ruled the Earth. (a/k/a Lombardi's Green Bay Packers).

There weren't very many of us small little mammals running around back then. We were getting clobbered by the likes of the Chiefs and the Raiders, who were in turn getting blown out by the Packers.

But look how far we've come!

P.S. The Seattle Seahawks hadn't even climbed out of the primordial slime yet.

You don't have to be "old" as in age but old as in been here a damn long time (birth was 2001 so it is only 12 and almost a teenager). Even if you jumped on the bandwagon back in the late 90s when we were cleaning everyone's clock, this is a 15 year wait for the good times to roll around again. Only 1960-1977 had fans waited any longer for a Super Bowl appearance.

We did this! Go Broncos!
Technically I suppose I'm a Mane old-timer since I was here through all of this...joined the summer before the season where Cutler eventually took over for Plummer. I was on KFFL before making the switch to the Mane full-time. Strangely, it was Mock who made me want to check this place out. He would post at KFFL whenever he was suspended/temp-banned from the Mane. I liked his style, so I made an account and have enjoyed my stay ever since!

Broncos fans new and old, enjoy the following 2 weeks! There's nothing like it!!

This is my 7th Super Bowl. Seen them all so far. I'm 51 though so I've been around awhile. It's been a long road up this point. This one is as sweet as the 1st one but none are more remarkable, sweeter, and emotional then 97 and 98. Those were very special. I'll live those memories forever. Go Broncos!!!!

Yeah it will be nice for us young guys to experience a SB win. You old farts keep hoisting those old trophies up every time we sign someone questionable.

Yes, you never forget. I still remember ditching classes up at CU for both parades. I remember being on the hill celebrating until idiots started burning couches.

It just gets dulled. But then it all rushes back again.

These are the best of times these days prior to the game........just basking in the light and enjoying every moment knowing your team made it. It's only appropriate we have a bit of celebratory music to mark the occasion.
