It wasn't wasted time. RIP Glen

Greatest song lyric ever...he combined God, Women, and Cars in one line.

Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl my Lord in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me

The inspiration for one of the most hilariously bizarre short videos I've ever seen: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/540...91f4908a657b81

Smuggler's Blues might be the best song ever made, short of We Built this City by Starship.

Yeah, but a city built on Rock N Roll would be structurally unsound.

Depends on how many synthesizers were killed in the construction.

I love the Eagles as a band for their output.

Frey has fought colitius for decades.

He and Henley wrote some great songs. They were driven to succeed back in the late 60's early 70's. They worked hard on their songcraft and worked with a group of other great artists but like anything ego, coke, and greed got in the way.

Frey wasn't anything more than a rhythm guitarist with a nice voice.

I am sad for his family and wish them peace.

New Kid In Town is a perfect song.

Next time you hear Ronstadt's version of Blue Bayou listen to the backing vocals of Glen and Don. They added their harmonies to a ton of great songs outside of the Eagles catalog.

They all wrote it together, I think Jackson said Glenn came up with the part about the pickup truck.

I wonder if Don is going to make it to Glenn's funeral.

Warren Zevon spent his last days wondering if Don was going to show at his, only Eagle to show was Timothy B. Schmit.

Don sang on a ton of Warren's early stuff and he had Warren out on his 1st album. Lost about all of my respect for Don when I found that out. I was a huge Henley fan in the 80s.

It's a great road trip song, used to listen to a lot of his songs, along with the Eagles on my 16 hour drives between Denver and LA.

RIP glen.

One of my prized memories... 1978, Riverfront Stadium, Cincinnati OH. Eddie Money, Steve Miller Band, and the Eagles. Joe Walsh joined in as well. Sadly, have not seen them since, but had been saying that I would pay the price next time I had a chance.

RIP

I have seen Joe Walsh and Don Henley but they, The Eagles, were done with the 1st go around when I was finally old enough to go and then I refused to pay those prices to hear a version of Hotel that I didn't like all that much. Kinda regret it today.
