Probably a Top 20 mortal lock now, I have been saying Chicago would draft him for a while.

I'd rather focus on stocking the secondary with young talent but would never complain about an attempt to build a penetrating defensive line.
Well, with a 4.65 that means he is likely to go in Sheldon Richardson territory.

There were rumors of the Cowboys being interested in him even before the combine. If he gets past Chicago, he probably doesn't go more than 2 more spots down the list.

His tape is good, measurables good.. but he doesn't fit our scheme. He would be misused as a 5 tech DE/DT.

If you can't fit somebody like this guy into your scheme you have bigger problems.

Damn.... after watching him at the combine today, I think he could probably play safety better than anyone we've got right now.

He's not a two gap player. He's a gap shooter. That's an asinine response, if you can't fit a player like this in your scheme you have bigger problems.

At no point am I questioning his ability, but he's not scheme diverse.

Sitting here waiting for the first group to start, I think this is not an asinine response. Sure he is a gap shooter or one gap kind of guy, but he would absolutely fit what we do if they modified his responsibilities in our under front.

It is not that hard to adjust if you have a dominant 3 tech and this guy is a serious 3 tech. Like McCoy good 3 tech. It's not just the speed, it's the technique too. Lot's of people in INDY talking about him yesterday, way more than Clowney....

I'm not questioning his talent. Correct me of I'm wrong but people were speaking about him in this thread replacing Wolfe as our 5Tech. With all due respect MED, he's not a two gap player and would be misused in our current scheme as a two gap 5Tech.

Certainly he could play inside and shoot the gap, again I am not questioning his skill at doing so, and Unthink he is far and away the best 3Tech prospect. But unless he played inside in our scheme and we modified initial read and react and just let him get up field, he would be misused.

1. Yes, the Broncos could definitely use him at 3-tech
2. Unfortunately, I already have 5 players penciled in at that position right now (Knighton, Wolfe, Jackson, Williams, Unrein).

It went from being the biggest single glaring weakness on the roster for 10 years, to being the most grossly over-allocated roster spot by far, in virtually 365 calendar days.

Donald won't make it to 31. Easily could be a top 15 pick.
