McD can sign Jay Cutler and then trade him.

Are there any midget CBs in this draft the Browns can trade a first for?

Browns could also use a blocking TE that can't actually block; for only the small price of a second round pick

Virgil Green has done more in his short career as a lesser pick than Quinn and ever did. And Elway didn't rate him as a first rounder.

So people rooting against McDaniels and have it written down as a fact that's he's a horrible head coach and he always will be.

Everybody knows he can coach up an offense and scout talent. Many great coaches have been ****ty their first go around...especially the best in the business for the past X years..Belichick.

I'm not sure how ownership is at in Cleveland, but as far as draft picks and current talent on the roster...they have a good situation for any coach to come in (especially an offensive one).

Josh Gordon, Cameron, Joe Thomas...

They have quite a bit of dead money but will have some of the most cap space in the league.

And I think they have a good DC in place with talent on defense.

Browns definitely are a good spot IMO barring ownership...they're not like the Redskins or anything.

Oh yeah, and 2 1st round draft picks.

Not to mention he's from Ohio...

What the **** are you talking about?

2009 Denver Broncos: 20th in offense overall
2010 Denver Broncos: 19th in offense overall

So you're going to only put up his statistics from Denver and not New England.

Genius.

Not mention he had to coach Kyle Orton. Let's not forget Orton put up similar numbers to Jay Cutler on the Broncos and Cutler had loads of talent, while Orton was working with Brand Lloyd and Jabar Gaffney.

Possibly because McDaniels traded Brandon Marshall for 3 magic beans?

Dude, you're making no sense at all at this point -- are you actually Ben McDaniels?

That doesn't change the fact that he coached Kyle Orton...?

And we're going to sit here and act like Jay Cutler didn't want out of Denver regardless. He calls Denver fans a 6...that's like a D in grading terms.

But that's irrelevant...he coached Kyle Orton and coached him up. Orton left a much better player than who he was when he was first traded for.

You're making no sense at all because you're telling me he traded players when that doesn't change the fact that he STILL COACHED WHAT WAS ON THE FIELD.

Are you really this stupid?

You're giving me reasons for why he had to coach certain players...what the **** does that actually have to do with WHAT HE DID with the players?

I'm talking about him as a coach and you're talking about him as a GM.

Orton was benched due to performance issues in favor of Tebow. At no point in his Broncos tenure was he better than he was with the Bears.

Just stop.

Only here in a Omane is McDaniels completely written off as a future HC. In NFL circles, he is BY FAR one of the biggest names out there for a HC job.

Maybe mcD learned a thing or two from his experience. How can someone not be humbled by it. I bet his tenure where ever (if ever) his next job is will be diff.

WHAT HE DID with the players is go 11-18.

Worse than his predecessor.

Worse than his successor.

Must have. His stint with the Rams was a disaster too.. that was one of the most injured riddled teams I've seen (offense and defense).

no. had does not equal chose. Josh chose to start Cpt. Neckbeard. Whether it was out of hubris or really thinking Orton was a franchise QB, he chose to start Orton. certainly didn't have to.

Ok? And you're pointing out that he failed in Denver? Well no **** sherlock he WAS fired, I would imagine his record was pretty bad here.

My point is, some of you act as if people never improve, people never learn, and people never change. You apply this SAME mentality to football players too.

There have been NUMEROUS head coaches that have had bad stints and come back to be better for it. Belichick and our very own Shanahan?

But I can tell you're not exact the brightest individual to talk logic and football with. You're moving the goal posts everywhere...first you quoted me saying he can coach up an offense...then you go on to talk about him as a GM and then him as a HC when all I originally said was something about him was him as a OC.

Then you bring up his record as if it isn't ****ing obvious he had a ****ty record considering he was fired.

And then tell me that I'm not making sense.
