I understand the point about Detroit's passing game, but as their respective records clearly reflect Detroit just isn't remotely as good of a football team as Seattle.

Agree. I think the Eagles could prove to be a bigger threat than the Lions, but time will tell.

As the Ravens proved, last year (and others have proven in previous years), it's all about playing your best football at the end of the season. In no way would I bet on the Lions making it to the Super Bowl, but this thread was about bad matchups for the Broncos...

To be clear the idea is that each team HAS ALREADY MADE THE SB...

OK. I'll say it this way. None of the other teams, on that list, scare me. In fact, I would WELCOME a rematch with the Cowboys. We won that shootout WITHOUT several of our defensive starters, with our middle linebacker being (in my mind) the most crucial...

Denver has not won a playoff game since some guy named Tim Tebow, and now you guys are crowning them and putting them in the superbowl already

Beating the 9ers 56-10 would be the best thing entirely in the world.

I tend to agree with this. Our secondary is in bad shape and a game against the Lions would be an even nastier shootout than the Dallas game.

Slight edge over Seattle, only because the super bowl would be on a neutral field.

Are the Lions getting a little too much love here because y'all watched them on Thanksgiving and they looked great? If you look a little further you'll see that they lost to Tampa and Pittsburgh the previous two weeks. And they barely beat Chicago and Dallas the two weeks before that. They're a 7-5 team for a reason. Come on, I know what you're thinking here, but you really, really wouldn't rather play Seattle (11-1!) than Detroit. You just wouldn't. Crazy talk.

I think Seattle is the toughest opponent. It would be a good game.

Bring on the Seahawks! I want to beat the best team in the NFL. It feels better that way. Not everybody wanted to face the '97 Packers. Then the following year, everybody wanted the Falcons to upset the Vikings for an "easier" Super Bowl. I would have rather the Broncos played and stopped the Vikings juggernaut that year. But the Dan Reeves story was kinda cool too.

Well, here's a poll for you. Who would the Chiefs rather NOT play next week?

A. First string QB
B. Second string QB
C. Third string QB
D. Any team with a winning record

Go back to Camarohead Planet and don't act stupid on a rival team's board.
