A power runner can break form tackles. Just like there is no defense for a perfect throw. Well, short of playing the hands and knocking it away.

Ball had another good game today. He stonehanded that long pass, but he read the holes and made some nice moves running, had a nice blitz pickup on a play action pass.

Also made up for that drop with a tough catch later in the game. Ball is becoming damn good, and just when we need him to be.

Ball is beginning to look like the pick we expected.

As long as we have PFM here is what we need from running backs:
  • pass protection
  • reliable on 3rd (or 4th) and 2
  • ability to go 5 to 25 on 1st and 10, and set up the play action
  • ability to catch out of the backfield

What we do not need:
  • 0, -2, 0, 22, 2, 25

Monte seems to be rounding out to exactly what we need, although receiving he was not great tonight. KM seems complete when he stays healthy! Good news. Hillman has shown me nothing tbh.

Solid game for Ball. Hope he continues to play like this, and even better.
