Default Jack Del Rio a USC candidate?

Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio is expected to emerge as a candidate to replace Kiffin, NFL sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

So basically he'd be leaving right about now if he wants the job. Which would seriously suck.

Yes it would but, so will a distracted DC staying this year I'm sure that would hurt our D as well.

I sure hope not! He needs to stay at least to long enough to win another ring or two or three!

I don't like this one bit, I hope he turns it down or waits until the season is over.

There is really no difference between LA and Denver any longer... Both teams have players paid to perform. The big difference is that Denver has a chance to win where USC sucks balls.

I do not see my adopt a Bronco leaving for USC.

He'd need to leave well before the end of the season for recruitment purposes.

Everything I'm reading is saying that if Del Rio got the job it wouldn't be until the end of the season.

My issue is now not next year. JDR to USC great but, its another distraction this years team doesn't need. JDR focus will understandably be off the rest of this season.

Ideally yes but, unless Denver is way way cool about it won't happen and shouldn't.

I dont believe there is a legal means of forcing JDR to stay. Petrino left the Falcons in the middle of the season and he was the head coach.

This would suck, but I have complete confidence in our coaching staff and front office to bring in a good replacement if it does. We've had one coordinator become a head coach every year and kept going without missing a beat after they leave. Our head coach is a very good defensive coach, and on offense we have Manning.

I am not sure how USC can wait until the end of the season if Denver makes the post season and goes deep into it. Generally they want to get started right away.

Not really. And honestly does John Fox seem like the kind of guy who would try to stop him? It doesn't seem like something Del Rio would do, though.

This would be the second-biggest thing that would derail our season, behind Manning going down with a season-ending injury...

JDR needs to get him a SB ring first before he worries about another job.

I can't imagine a guy bailing on a possible Super Bowl run. But, I guess if that's his "dream job" then anything is possible.
