Bronco Rob would support mass kitten drownings if it meant an opportunity to post his thumbs up emoticon.

Honestly, I think he should get suspended for a game for this.

Granted, I can't stand the Steelers - so, I might have some bias here. But, don't they nail people with suspensions for jeopardizing the integrity of the game? Isn't that what he's done here?

This. I wish he's gotten plowed on the sidelines. The rule is clear enough: NO ONE allowed on the white sideline during play.

Or make him coach from the press box for rest of the season.

And, it wasn't just on the white sideline. He actually took a step on the field. And, for me, the clincher is that he did it deliberately. It's tough to tell how the play would have ended, had he not done it. Jacoby Jones seemed to turn in towards the middle, right when Tomlin took the step towards him.

At least the Ravens won.

It was a smart move by Tomlin that kept them in the game and almost allowed them to tie it up.
Jones should have just kept going. If anything he should have ran into and made the refs award the TD.

I was at the game last night. Nobody in the stadium knew it happened until they showed a replay, and that was after the Ravens settled for a field goal. I'm sure it was talked about right away to the viewing audience.

As far as suspension talk, I'd like to point out the Jets strength and conditioning coach a few years ago who had the players and he line up on the side line. He was fined $100 K, but there was no suspension. He was however fired at year end.

I'm positive Tomlin will not be fired over this. He is a very good motivator and players coach. He will receive a hefty fine and I doubt a suspension.

Actually it's at the referees discretion as it is deemed an "Unfair Act" with the punishment reading as follows:

Unfair Act
The Referee enforces any penalty that he considers equitable, including the award of a score; for repeated fouls, the game may be forfeited

The standard in the cases for an unimpeded path to the end zone is the referee rules a TD.

Thanks for clarifying... I misinterpreted a comment by Mike Pereira...

I heard he might lose his family over this.

BMore reassures us that this won't happen. Also, Med said this right after the game.

I don't think they like doing hearings or handing out discipline during the week, I imagine we will hear something Tuesday, whatever that something might be. I hope for a 2 game suspension.

So there is a rumor going round that the Steelers might lose a draft pick over this in addition to a six digit fine for Tomlin. Your mileage may vary.

I'd be fine with that. I'm a little shocked that there hasn't been more uproar about it. Cheating is cheating, whether you're videotaping your opponent's practices, or doing crap like this.

So, a multi-year orchestrated video cheating program that resulted in 3 super bowls = wandering onto the filed during one game? Sounds about right!

I don't see the draft pick thing going over well. No way the Rooney's take that lying down. A big time fine is one thing.
