Default Predict the 6th seed in the AFC

Who do you think will get the last playoff spot in the AFC assuming the first 5 spots are set?

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/standings/playoffrace

Right now there are 9 teams within 1.5 games of each other vying for the spot.

Looking at the schedule, Ill take Buffalo. They have a bye week this week to get healthy then play 5 winnable games to finish ...ATL, at TB, at JAC, MIA, at NE.

I think San Diego, Pitt and Baltimore are the three primary candidates.

Those are the teams with the 3 best Qbs on the list. Has anyone seen how out of shape Big Ben looks lately? I was watching a little bit of the Steelers game on Sunday and he could barely move back there. He took off and ran on this one play and looked slow as ****. I would bet that he's pushing 270

Go back to QB & Defense. I think San Diego has a good chance. This weekend will say if they are going to make a push or not.

I wanted to pick SD. But their schedule down the stretch is just too much.

Chefs twice. Us. Bengals. Improved NYG team.

They can only really lose one more. Can't see them going 5 of 6 with that schedule.

pitt because of their coach
dolphins because of their D and overall play
buff because of their schedule
who-ever it is needs to go on a run, perhaps only ONE more loss for the rest of the season. that does not sound like the jets, who have not put back to back wins together all season.
if the ravens continue to recognize ray rice in his uniform they may have a chance.

The Steelers seem to be getting their mojo, back. If I were to bet, I would bet on them...

If the Ravens make it they will have earned it -

Nov 24 N.Y. Jets
Nov 28 Pittsburgh
Dec 16 @Detroit
Dec 22 New England
Dec 29 @Cincinnati

Don't see it happening

The Bills and the Browns look like the schedule is set up best for them. I chose the Browns.

A lot of people will pick them based on their past history and quality of their QB's. San Diego has a brutal schedule. I don't think they are able to do enough. Baltimore gets some home games here. But the AFC north is going to cannibalize each other in the next six weeks and I think they are going to end up splitting those games.

I picked the Browns on a hunch.

Chargers had their chance this week and blew it.

If you can't beat Miami, you don't deserve to be in.

The Bills don't even know what quarterback they are using, from week to week. This isn't their year to get into the playoffs. You could be correct, with the Browns, though...

Man, lately your posts have been sobering. Its got to be a rough time in Chargerland for this zero optimism approach I am seeing from your fans lately. If roles were reversed, I would likely still be telling you that the Broncos had the ability to close out the season with all Ws.

I have to say Pittsburgh. It all comes down to experience and Pittsburgh knows how to get to the playoffs. Same as the Giants in the NFC

I would have said this but when they lost to Miami, they pushed them to the forefront (as of now) and took a step back. Chargers will be losing to us and KC (possibly twice). Chargers are now done. Too many games lost where they had a very easy chance to win in the 4th quarter.

Now that Bell is back I think the Steelers can do enough on offense to manage the 6th...

Sometimes I think my opinions are so original, then I see everyone picked PIT as well. I really would prefer to see 3 AFCW teams in the playoffs, but it's not going to happen.

Also it's funny that Ben Roffleburger doesn't mind taking sacks.

BTW, you realize that you picked the team (only so far) with the worst record of all listed and probably needs to win all 5 remaining games to make the #6th seed. It isn't happening as they will lose at least 2 games.
