my list of defenses better than KC:

1. Carolina - flat out ballin.
2. Seattle - best secondary in the league, aggressive, hits hard.
3. SF 49ers - with Willis healthy and Aldon Smith back, look for SF to climb back to the top. They had a rough start to the year, but have given up > 20 in only one game over the past seven; that was in New Orleans.
4. Bengals: even without Geno this team can play. Burflict was awesome last week.
5. Broncos: my thoughts are detailed here.

After that, there isn't a whole lot of difference. Saints, Chiefs, Jets, and Browns are all about even. They are all good defenses but have fatal flaws. If you want to argue Chiefs go next, I could see that, but I could also see Chiefs coming in around 9.

We should learn a lot next week, IMO. They shut down Rivers and the Chargers convincingly, I'd put them around 6.

Sparkies put up 41 points in Mullet land. Nearly 500 yards. Only 1 sack at the end of the game.

Still think the Mullets have an elite Defense?

so much for that. Not sure KC can be considered a top 10 defense now.

Chiefs= Top 10 defense against bottom feeders with third string QBs.

Against playoff quality teams not soo much.....................

Chiefs= Exactly what I have said they were all along......................

The Chugger D didn't give up the yardage and long plays that the kFc D did.

kFc will tumble even further down the defensive rankings!

The question for the Chefs now is how many more do they lose? Denver, Chokeland at home, Sandy eggo at home. The slide has begun They may end up 9-6. It would not surprise me at all. Will they make the playoffs after their 9-0 start against poor teams.

KC is finding out what it's like to play starting QB's in the NFL. What a biatch it is to have to play big boy football for a change.

KCs defense would have been a lot better had Houston and Hali been healthy. But with even one of them out, it's going to be a lot more difficult to generate a pass rush.

They're a good defense but not anywhere near the generation changing defense that some of their fans talked about. Their pass rush is what makes their defense somewhat dangerous. Their secondary is, at best, average. I'd go so far as to say, I'd take Denver's secondary over KC's.

Elite defenses don't give up 500 yards of offense and 40+ at home.

They're also learning that injuries can and usually do make a difference when it happens to prime time players on their roster.

Sounds a lot like the same broncos defense in the first half of season. The same defense that Chiefs fans were trashing.

Chiefs score 66 points in the last two games and STILL go 0-2.

So this is Chiefs fans idea of an all world all time Defense? Giving up 76 points in the last two weeks.

Umm, ok.

I was impressed by elements of their defense today. For the most part they were very effective against the run and I do not think Denver was prepared for the amount of pressure they were able to generate. They got a pretty decent rush fairly consistently throughout the game.

Still nowhere near elite, but whatever.

dude, they gave up 35 points, with not a single point gifted via turnover or return. That's not good.

How many sacks does their defense have the past 6 weeks?

After getting like 35 the first 6 weeks saying they got exposed is putting it nicely

Who are you arguing with? I said they were successful in several areas today, that's all.

There isn't as much shame in giving up obscene points and yards to Denver.
