Convenient isn't it. Also ignoring the fact that we're dealing with a new head coaching situation. Of course JDR is going to play it close to the vest. It's not his team after all. Considering they may play them not just once but possibly twice still this year, why show your full hand when you don't need to.

ST left 3 points off the board. BS taunting gave them 4-7 points. This game should have really been 30-13.

Consider we could have gone for that 4th & inches and you could argue we could have tacked on another 4 points. And you just know they had another score in them had they wanted to push it. But why do that and risk everything when you don't need to at home.

Manning can lay up a 40 burger on them if pushed. I truely believe that after watching Sundays matchup. The Broncos aren'the Pats running up the score for the sake of it and Manning isn't a state whore like Brady. JDR is also a conservative no no-nesense coach. This game was never in doubt past the 1st qtr. They weren't going to expose Manning or the victory for a few extra style points.

The 10 point loss was actually a best case scenario for the Mullets.

I've never seen anything like this. The Chiefs got SPANKED last night. 17 down with under 5 minutes to go. Lost by a double-digit point total.

Yet the chest-pounding is deafening. This wasn't an overtime win. It wasn't a close game in the closing minutes. It was a freaking blow-out.

So much this. ****, I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs got more first downs off Denver penalties than offensive production.

KC had 24 firstdowns, 5 by penalty. 14 by passing and 5 by rushing, at least officially. Not sure how many times KC was given 2nd chances on drives that did not convert automatically into first downs but made it easier for the putrid bag of a-holes that is the KC offense to extend drives.

It's as if he didn't know there's a box score where one can check these things.

Chiefs fan: game was rigged, refs saved Denver. We beat ourselves.

KC Penalties: 9 - 53 yards
Denver Penalties: 13 - 82 yards

You guys didn't expose our defense.

I'm pretty sure we held you to your lowest yards per play of the entire season (5.7 last night, vs your average of 6.6 coming into the game) and that was obviously your lowest scoring output of the year.

Our offense kept giving the ball back to yours and our defense held up until it finally broke late.

We also stopped your running game, which I said we would do.

The Chiefs could beat Denver if they had a decent ****ing QB but unfortunately we haven't had one in 10 years.

**** me.

You didn't stop squat.

We deliberately sacrificed some of our ground game in order to bolster pass protection.

Had nothing to do with your overrated defense.

You averaged less than 3 yards per carry.

If Alex Smith could lead a ****ing scoring drive our defense wouldn't have been on the field for 76 plays.

I was looking at the boxscore at the time. So I posted what I saw. Are you always this acerbic?

We ran it 36 times. It was not about the yardage, but killing the clock. Our defense beat on your offense, and our offense shortened the game, killing your chances to do anything offensively. I dont know if you noticed but your offense is ****.

Yep.

We lost the game because of our offense.

75 percent blame there, and 25 percent blame to the defense. Cooper got smoked.

I love how you keep bringing the 1 TD pass for Manning. He could have thrown for 3 TDs, but he checked to the Run in the redzone because he knows the Chiefs run Defense is soft.

I will go with your 75/25 blame pie. And Eric Berry got smoked by Julius Thomas, and Hali and Houston were smoked by our OL.

Really wasnt the lowest scoring output of the year by much, San Diego held us to 28 points, so is their defense great?

We took off the gas peddle once the game got outta hand in the 4th quarter.

But you told us Queefs would shut the Broncos down playing single high safety and sack Manning a bunch.

This looms as possible for me.
I think that is incredibly optimistic of the Chiefs.

San Diego is a decent team, Washington could put up a fight with Griffin and that running game. Indy will be incredibly tough and I doubt they will rest up. I wouldn't put it past the Chiefs to lose 3 games on that schedule and finish up 12-4.

Now for the Chiefs, they focus on remaining disciplined with their players and tackle, and they are very good at that. They are starting to regress to a "norm", just like the Broncos are slowly coming back down to a norm. I just think its funny the Broncos "only" score 27 points, which is still pretty gosh darn good.

They'll win the Oakland game because their wins always come against scrub QBs. They'll lose the rest though and finish 10-6.

It was 24-10 in the 3rd (would have been 27-10 in 3rd qtr. if not for the missed FG)

So WTF are you talking about?

Actually I am going to go (a bit) with Bob here.

If you had an elite QB (Peyton, Brady, Brees) you coulda hung with us.

You don't. Your QB is not even average. You don't have any real prospects of having an elite QB for many years.

Of all the "ifs" that are meaningless, "if just we had an elite QB" is probably the most pathetic.
