Default Game Ball to the OL

Difference in the game no doubt. If they block like that the next 2 months you can go ahead and crown us.

manning certainly helped 'em out by getting the ball out quicker than he normally does. still, they kept manning upright and never in any real peril. they did take a couple of holding calls but those are preferable to getting manning hit at this point.

my only complaint is that the running game was pretty spotty.

Manning could wear the same jersey next home game, not a speck of dirt on it. I haven’t replayed the game but did notice it was a real dogfight on the edges all night, can’t say enough about the effort put forth……… awesome.

Absolutely agreed 100%. We went up against the best pass rush in the NFL and they barely grazed Manning on no more than 3 plays. There were a number of plays where Clark & Franklin were put on an island, and they handled Hali & Houston just fine.

The run game wasn't pretty, but it was really a means to an end. We used the threat of the run (especially up the middle) to keep KC's D honest. It slowed down the aggressive edge rush.

Well-deserved.

Even a banged-up Broncos OL got the better of the McChief's overrated pass rush.

One of the keys to the game was the OL keeping Manning upright. They did that. I was extremely impressed...

Even though the run game wasn't great it was good enough to keep the defense honest. It was like body punches in boxing and allowed the OL to pass protect better because the Chiefs couldn't go all out pass rush mode.

I didn't say they were bad I said they weren't great. The run game wasn't great but good enough to allow the OL some help in protection.

I don't see how people are complaining about the run game last night. Pass pro was much better than I thought it would be, and we had very few negative run plays. Also, we are running TD's inside the 10 yard line at a much better rate than we have for many years. Moreno and Ball are finding ways to get into the end zone, even when things are stuffed.

I think the run game is looking "just good enough" to keep defenses honest and punish them if they keep safeties deep.

To be fair, the run game needs to improve...I think that's the center of disappointment. Our Redzone running was on point though.

I would really have liked to see some carries to CJ Anderson. No way should Moreno get 27 carries at this point in the season...or in any game where he's averaging 3 YPC.

Moreno is on pace for 300 touches this year (carries+receptions)... as reported, they need to bring that down considering how important he is in the pass blocking game too.

I know I will get crushed for this but maybe it's time to let Hillman out of the doghouse? We could really use some speed to the outside.

I'm sure most wouldn't be opposed to it... I mean what is the point of activating CJ Anderson if you're not going to use him at all? I see Montee is still on the ST unit.

Hillman can be trusted on 3rd downs too (whereas CJ probably can't at this point)... his speed in the passing game alone can be utilized.

CJ needs some work if he's on the activated roster though...

BALL was clueless unless we were in a goalline formation with a goal line call.
he didnt know wherte to line up! he didntknow what the play call was.
he didnt know his blocking assignment !
if hillman is not fumbling during practice i would prefer to see him over ball outside the red zones.
KM is still the man ! I am pissed PFM NEVER threw him the ball on sunday !

Actually, it's precisely because he CAN'T be trusted that he's not out there.

He has a fumbling problem...

When I say he can be trusted on third downs, I mean that he knows his blocking assignments, he picks up all his blocks, and he can catch the ball.

...with that being said...with the Broncos offensive fumbling/TO problems...

Manning is accountable for 9/13 turnovers on offense.

Absolutely! It's amazing how well they are playing considering all the movement due to injuries.

Collinsworth is sucking off the Chiefs all night even when we're up at one point by 17 points and PFM has a clean jersey against this so called vaunted KFC rushing attack. No mention from the talking heads in the booth how the Broncos have had to patch this O-line together. The entire line has been adjusted. You'd think this is worthy of a little talking head discussion to fill the time on air.

Yeah, I don't see a problem with giving them the game ball. They didn't run block all that well but they passed blocked very well. Not too many penalties on them either. I actually think this was a very well balanced team attack. Defense played pretty well and special teams were very solid also.
