I'd make Pats the favorites at home. I've just seen the Pats D make our OL look silly too often and Brady shred our defense. Even their RB's seem to rise to the occasion against us. I'd set the line at Pats by 3.

We need Julius Thomas more than Welker next week. I hope both of them are ok.

If we're missing Welker and Orange Julius in this game, outside of New England getting similarly banged up in Charlotte, we're not winning this game.

I'm not so sure. Welker would probably play the game of his life just to stick it to Belichick even more. That or Belichick would dedicate so many resources to shutting him down, it would leave someone else uncovered on pretty much every play.

how far off is champ from playing? that'd definitely give us another bullet in our gun in coverage schemes.

Yes, would go a long way, but easier said than done. We made McGrath and Fasano look pretty good a few times last night. Gronk is at a whole other level.

lol at Simmons hyping last night's game as when Manning would get killed and then whining when it becomes clear his Pats will have to play a mostly healthy Peyton:

Here's hoping the Panther give us a little help and knock the Pats around a bit tonight. Them getting a shorter week is bonus too.

New England will be a home underdog in Week 12 for the first time since 2005

The marquee matchup in Week 12 between the Broncos and the Patriots is sure to be a ratings bonanza and a possible preview of the AFC title game. You've got Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady and the 9-1 Broncos vs. the 7-2 Patriots in a battle to acquire home-field advantage for the playoffs.

And the ones who set the gambling lines are liking the Broncos, even though they're traveling to New England. That doesn't happen often for the Patriots when they play at home. Like, once a decade

We're lucky that Mayo, Wilfork and Kelly are all out for the year. We just need to shut down Gronk and get pressure. Easier said than done.

I really like our chances, even on the road at night all the way on the east coast. But I think this will be a close game. Hopefully it's not like 20 below.

Shouldn't be any worse than what they played in last night.

Too bad it's not today, though. It's freaking 65 degrees here right now.

Totally agree. We need ONE of them to play next week. Both being out would be mucho baddo.

Exactly.

Pats are not the same team as years past, but anytime you go into foxboro; it's tough.

To me, biggest issue is whether Miller plays better then he has over the last three games. I don't think he is in shape yet. If he can harrass Brady, could be a big help to the CBs. Adams on Gronk is gonna suck.

Yes . And keep Ninkovich in check . That dude has feasted in our backfield the last three games and we need to block him out, and not let him get to Manning.
Dude seems to really step up against us.

On defense pressure Brady and stop their run also.

We need to follow more or less the same game plan as last night, and get the ball out down field more. Heavy dose of runs also.

Our injuries last night might be a deciding point. Hope the Panthers can do some damage tonight come away with a win also.

Which two of the New England victories scare you? Buffalo, New York Jets, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, Pittsburgh? Maybe it was the close loss to the same powerhouse Jets, or that hard fought almost winning 6 point offensive performance they put up in Cincinnati?

Is it the 26 points per game they are putting up, or the 19.5 they are allowing? If it is either of those, keep in mind that their average opponent has scored 21.9 against teams other than New England, and allowed 23.6, meaning New England has only netted 4.8 points more than the rest of the league against this "elite" competition.

In comparison, Denver's 39.8 points per game scored, and 25.5 points per game against vs. opponents averages of 21.7 scored and 22.4 allowed nets 13.6 above the rest of the league. If these numbers hold, Denver should score somewhere in the area of 38 points to New England's 28.

This is not the same New England team from the last decade. They have fattened up on sub par opponents, pulled off a lucky win against one of the two quality opponents they have faced, and almost been shut out by the other.

The only thing that worries me about this game is the Patriots talent for squeezing out unlikely victories. If you look at it from the measurables however, all signs point to this being a solid win. From a numbers standpoint, Kansas City should give us more trouble than Bellicheat and his merry band of whining flag drawers.

If we devote extra resources to stopping The Gronk, then Vereen out of the backfield could kill us. He might end up with ~8 catches.

Well, we do look more prepared to stop the Patriots run game this year. That "hurry up" game they hit us with last year was brutal.

Both teams will make some big things happen in the passing game.

This is a game where we really need Trindon to get his mojo back. One key return or field flip could decide this one.
